L-39 disintegrating bug

Seems like whenever I fly with my clan buds, and someone else joins in a module, the aircraft disintegrates mid air. Both wings break, engine goes up in flames, etc....

 

Possibly related to a de-sync between the two clients in the same aircraft (we all have good internet connections, so it`s really a matter of a small hickup when someone joins a module)

Afaik it is a known bug. Can't search it for you know, but you will find some detailed reports around here

Didn`t see it reported so no, unless it`s hidden somewhere there. Whether well known or not depends, wasn`t there 3-4 patches ago when I last flew with a clan member.

Nope, the bugs they mention are related to engine shutting down under given conditions in multiplayer.

 

Bug mentioned here has to do with the plane literally exploding (wings break off, aircraft goes in flames) due to someone joining another module.

I've noticed with two in the aircraft it only spontaneously combusts when someone in the aircraft has a high ping. With low ping it seems to go away. I don't know if there is a magical ping where it occurs.

I have also noticed this happening when I fly with my friend who is studying in Italy. He has quite high ping and we have lost our wings in the air many times and even on ground while taxiing.

I think this is due to the shared cockpit feature being completely incapable of handling any sort of lag. Once we were at least three machines with two crew each flying together when a MiG-21 spawned...we all went down in flames.

Just try this again with the new open beta 1.5.4. It has all been fixed by the new extrapolation algorithm. Its just plain awesome now. :D

Well ... i can tell you two things for sure ... (out of three ...)
