Frosty Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 simple really would you spare some money every month and contribute to an official DCS Patreon page if you knew it would help speed up development or of issues, physics and aircraft in DCS? for those who don't know. Patreon is a site where you agree to contribute some money to a specific person to help support them. you choose the amount and the receiver can give something back by allowing access to exclusive content. this could be anything that Eagle Dynamics decides like pictures, videos, sales or competitions. so what do you think? Silver_Dragon Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Have some problems about them. ED has a company dedicate not only of the entertainment market, he move on professional / military market, and your products has under restricted / secret law, with license requirements and a great quantity of scope outside of a game studio. Frosty Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 by exclusive, I mean just normal stuff like the early reveal of an aircraft or pictures, not exclusive military information but still. wouldn't be nice if we helped them hire another few members to the games section [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If the MWS didn't see it. it never happened"

Frosty Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 It's up to them, I'm just throwing the idea out there. it's completely optional so it shouldn't matter if you don't:music_whistling: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If the MWS didn't see it. it never happened"
GeorgeLKMT Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 If I wanted to support a charity, I would donate to Red Cross or MSF, not a game developer. Why some people act like ED is a bunch of indie devs coding in basement? They've been around for 25 years and are a part of The Fighter Collection that operates warbirds worth several million dollars, not to mention very lucrative military contracts that surely ain't cheap. ■ L-39C/ZA Czech cockpit mod ■ My DCS skins ■
David OC Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 simple really would you spare some money every month and contribute to an official DCS Patreon page if you knew it would help speed up development or of issues, physics and aircraft in DCS? so what do you think? It's not just about throwing money at development to get more done. ED creates it's own technology and their way of doing (Coding) things to build the best Filghtsim, Coders need to be brought up to speed, this would take quite some time i'm guessing? DCS is on the verge of standardizing their system with version 2.5 on the way new game engine, new map build tools and so forth. Once all the teething is done (Few years perhaps in the coding world?) You will then see a lot of great content getting done in amazing efficiency by ED and 3rd parties, at the moment it's like 2 steps froward 1 step back and I'm happy for this to happen as ED is trying to keep their quality very high as usual and if you don't get the direction right for the future it's going to be a lot of code to rewrite down the track! :noexpression: i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing.
