R4M rocket setup

The tests reveal that currently these rockets possess some sort of self-destruction fuse, whereas I've never heard of anything like this for this rocket, neither succeeded to find anything relevant in docs or blueprints http://archive.is/LKNi4 - no traces of time delay fuses whatsoever, only contact ones.

Is it done as intended? I'd really appreciate to get poked by some proofs if this is the case :).

Thank you, Art_J. Another stuff I noted that they work with any settings on the armament panel (main switch ein/aus + any position of bomb fusing), except for the case mentioned here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169743 - bombs + r4m mix won't let you use the latter ones at all, despite any settings applied. Are these known issues too? Unfortunately I don't have any docs on this matter, but the behavior seems odd - as ability to launch rockets with any settings may result in simultaneous launch + bomb drop if both type of ammunition are present.

I noticed that too. I can fire rockets as soon i activate the master arm switch.

Should'nt work that way.

Btw, when gets the mailfunction on the SZKK fixed? It's there since beta release of the Dora...

On the mentined document it says "Annäherungszünder (geplant)" meaning a proximity-fuse was planned... no proof, but a possible explanation?

The R4M rockets certainly had a timed fuse. It coupled the combustion chamber to the explosive charge via a small metal plate which was only perforated if the propellant burned at or above a specific threshold. This was important as rockets sometimes got stuck on the rail if the propellant burned improperly, which would have caused a rocket exploding on the wing rack and most definitely a loss of plane and pilot firing the rocket. If documentation is necessary I can provide detailed german reports about this mechanism.

Oh, sharing docs would really be nice, as I've failed to find any traces of such fuses anywhere.

The first report deals with the development of the timed fuse while the second report is the final report before production which shows detailed pictures.
