BSS_Sniper Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 This is just a general thread about the constant crashing of DCS. It's made it almost impossible to fly in Blue Flag since you have limited lives. I've lost most of my lives because of crashing. It's gotten to the point of being unplayable and sadly, expected. Is anything be done to make this somewhat stable? Its really frustrating. I'd post something to get help but it is happening to everyone, not just me. Art-J Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 I'd say posting crashlogs would be / should be a good start, so that BigNewy can take a look if Your crashes are caused by the same thing as others' or not. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

Ignition Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 I also can't join OP Blue Flag, it crashes on map load. But I think it is because I only have 8GB and the mission has a lot of units. I don't have this problem with other missions.
Hedhunta Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 @Bignewy, something I have noticed, is that if I have Google Chrome running in the background DCS will crash very often. Since I started playing without Google Chrome running I have experienced very few, and often no crashes while playing. I am wondering if the game is trying to access memory that Google Chrome(which we all know hogs memory like a fat kid with chocolate cake) is using and that causes the game to crash.

I am not sure, I do know closing all other programmes before using dcs is never a bad thing. That being said I run two screens when in dcs, the other screen is for ts and my google chrome, I generally have at least 3 tabs open for forums and so on and never have a problem. Mustang Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 AMD R9 card? Try this driver http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171321 a sidenote: there is also a Crimson 16.8.1 driver recently available, this seems to work just as well as the driver linked above (tested here and verified) http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-radeon-software-crimson-16-8-1-driver-download.html
