What I posted in the general bug report area before I realized that it only occurs in the Mirage 2000C:

With 2.03 the DCS.exe cpu use % sometimes drops to 10% or even less. This correlates with a stutter in the game. I've watched the task manager and there are no other processes interfering. I tried reducing graphical settings to a minimum but it makes no difference; I get the same performance with medium-ish settings.

2.02 lacked this problem and, for me, had better performance.

All other modules are smooth.

The stutters seem to get worse when there are radio messages from the AI, or narration, e.g. the constant peg II quick mission.

No one else sees this? You get the same performance with the M2KC in Nevada as you get with other modules?

There was and I think there still is a problem reported with radar in non-FC3 aircraft. Do you get the stutter at all times or only when your radar is on?

I didn't have the problem at all, so I think it only impacted certain missions or something, but maybe it's related to that..?

I have the same problem with the Mirage in Nevada. It's getting better when I'm airborne but as soon as I start to taxi to the runway the stuttering starts.

I'm not a FPS watcher when I fly.

But I have not noticed any slowdowns in NTTR or 1.5 in any aircraft I have flown lately. Taxiing or otherwise. Those are the P51, Mirage, F5, Huey and the Gazelle. I did fly the F15 in 1.5 this weekend in a server with 20 plus others with no issues. Really the only thing I ever see is a minimal pause when AI Bandits spawn from a trigger.

Almost always fly multiplayer or host my own. Really never fly SP.

Oh, you're exactly right! The stutters only occur when the radar is on. When it is off or in silent mode the stutters are gone.

No stutters with the Mig-23 radar, fwiw. It is not just the FC3 aircraft that are not affected.

Apparently this bug has hit the F-5, too.

Could you try alt+enter before launching a mission ?

I have no more stutter when radar is on

Alt+Ent to go into full screen does lessen the stutters, but does not remove them.

this thread applies to all modules, not just the mirage. and the stutters applies to the map as well.

So far we know that using the radar kills you fps 80% for some people.(f15, mirage, f-5).

looking at certain places on the map will cause stuttering, this has been in dcs since i started playing and i consider myself pretty new to this game, 1.2~

We are not talking lower fps, but stutter, whuch was introduced by the update released for appr. Two weeks ago.

Try to set cockpit displays to "1024 every frame" and uncheck Vsync.

On my system makes it run smooth again, but I still have occasional stutter that seem to stem from some texture loading.

I haven't had any heavy stuttering using the M2K over Nevada so far, but lately I recongnized a very weird behavior. When I fly very low, not over Vegas, switch to F2 and move the camera to a top angle (only the top of the plane and a small part of the terrain is visible ), I get drops from 80 to 170 fps in a very high frequece which causes something like microstuttering. It only appears with the Mirage.

Best,
