Revelation Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Why doesn't it look like this as far as shadowing? Could be an older screenshot that is "new" to us. It could also be due to time of day the screenshot was taken. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
Vitormouraa Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 That's very simple.. the content that you see in the picture is still in WIP, since it's in WIP, that does NOT represent the final results. Don't worry... the 2.5 is 15 times more beautiful and cooler than the 1.5. Everything is subject to change! SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com

StandingCow Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) The Hornet is in the sim and being worked on in the sim. Matt tells me to quit bugging him all the time because he is concentrating on the documentation creation... I am disappointed everyday its not released, but I understand what goes into the creation of these modules. Don't get me wrong, I am being patient and not complaining or anything, I was just curious. I appreciate the update and screen shot. I want them to do it right, not quick. Oh, and stop bugging Matt. :) Edited October 28, 2016 by StandingCow 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo

MegOhm_SD Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) "DCS: Spitfire LF Mk IX and the Normandy map, and both are, or will be soon, going into internal test! This is always a good sign that we are approaching an Early Access release." Thinking out loud...Hmmm...So if this is true, it stands to reason 2.5 has to be near early access as well since we need 2.5 for the map access. No one wants another separate install and I doubt ED would be considering that. Vitormouraa Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 In a hypothetical situation, they could release both at the same time (Normandy and Spitfire), even though it sounds a bit crazy, couldn't they do it? SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com

Vitormouraa Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I mean, within the "limits" if you know what I mean, that makes sense, Normandy and Spitfire were made for each other. Normandy + Hornet don't make sense.. SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com
MegOhm_SD Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) All you need for the Hornet Module is DCS World. SoH could come much later, which is ok by me! So it could drop anytime on its own. ED Team NineLine Posted October 28, 2016 ED Team Posted October 28, 2016 The goal is to get 2.5 out ASAP, that would be ideal for the release of new maps I am sure. But it just depends on how the bits and bytes flow... Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

BadHabit Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 What i hope for 2.5 to bring is stability and a more accurate debuging for 3rd party teams. That way I can enjoy my favourite module once again aftet a long time. Honestly graphics and all the candys are good but srability and usefull features is goin to sky rocket this sim platform. Do we have a pending list of what 2.5 will bring? Besides combining everything into a single executable which will allow map switching within the app. Thanks,
Buzzles Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Do we have a pending list of what 2.5 will bring? Besides combining everything into a single executable which will allow map switching within the app. Thanks, It's already a single exe. I was confused why that was in the newsletter, as that was a 1.5 feature. Really it should have said single version of the exe, so we don't need all the branches, I'm assuming it's just a translation issue again. Similar thing to mentioning the Spitfire going to internal test, Sith let slip he's been testing it already. Either way, all images look pretty good, looking forward to actually getting the content into a public version of DCS. Future's looking very promising. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
