Well it does include a major addition to the NTTR map, in addition to the sizeable update that went onto 1.5 over the past couple of weeks, so it is hardly surprising that it is a big download.

Does this update includes also new urban areas that were mentioned earlier?

Apart from the video showing the new airstrips, there is no information as to exactly what is in the expansion pack, but it might be assumed that it's everything they have been telling us about recently.

Except the new lighting system, PBR, the effects that we have been seeing, but it does look different though. Let's wait, I need to see that by myself.

My hope is that they added pillars that support bridges, and shadows that are also cast on bridges (instead of beneath them), continuous power lines, improved LOD for the power generators that used to pop-up only moments before one would pass them, more than only gray colored cars on the roads (up until now, all non-gray cars were only parking), etc. Stuff like that... :)

 

Of course, totally looking forward to the new NTTR map. Cannot wait!

Agreed. Capacities freed to knock out 2.5, and the PFMs for the Mig-29 and Su-33! :thumbup:

I was kidding. The fountains are on the strip in down town Vegas. Hardly a priority :music_whistling:

Looks like a great (feature and sizew wise :)) update :thumbup: Can't wait to try it out when the download finishes! The potential for building new missions and scenarios just got to the next level. Maybe I'm too optimistic but the map just got a second breath :)

The first thing to do after starting DCS - check the F10 map, fly and enjoy the scenery, make a new airport frequency chart :)

Just wondering, do the new airfields support RSBN for MiG-21? It seem that it doesn't work on the current one (or the kneeboard is outdated).

Would be nice if we now have working approach plates in the kneeboard area for NTTR now; going to check asap.

still downloading...taking a long time, im sure im sending up more than I am taking down. Is there anywhere showing the F10 map for NTTR, I have plans for it?
