VOR/TAC mod for eastern Planes like L-39?

Hey there,

 

is there any mod that lets planes like the L-39 navigate with the VOR system? This would be a quiet useful feature, Especially on the NTTR map. What kind of navigation upgrades do you think were installed (or had to be for FAA regulatory reasons) in private L-39 jets flying in the States?

 

My point is: wouldn't it be more realistic to give a navigation upgrade to the L-39 to make it compatible with modern requirements when it is placed in the modern NTTR context?

There should be an option to choose a westernised cockpit. They already put the speed and altimeter in Knots/feet, but for now this is dependant on the measurement units set in the general options, which is very annoying.

 

If they added this with a western VOR receiver and radios it would be really great :thumbup:

I think that they are working on a Garmin GPS for eastern block aircraft in the NTTR...

In one of the march newsletters. Then it was discussed in various threads in general 1.5 & 2.0 section of the forum, although the official announcement was so brief that anything after is just speculation.
