Kilrah Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) Hi guys. Can you enlarge the main menu in the game. I am playing on a 1440p monitor and the text and boxes are awfully tiny. Why doesn´t it scale to use more of the screen space? It is the same problem on a 1080p monitor, for example, in the controls menu, why in gods name doesn´t it use the full screen size instead of the small window in the center of the screen? On my 1440p monitor it is even smaller! This also means I have to use the scroll bars when selecting the control/stick/rudder I want to bind. Very irritating. Cavemanhead Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 +1 Starting to get old and really appreciate better use of monitor real estate...
rajdary Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 +1 i really think it would make life easier for many of us if it would be at least 50% larger. flyco Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 You should try and read it on a 4K monitor. I wish I could, and the labels, and the chat boxes etc.
Outlaw24 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I agree I would love to use my 4K monitor at it's native resolution, but as stated the text size is to small. fitness88 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 You should try and read it on a 4K monitor. I wish I could, and the labels, and the chat boxes etc. Try using Chat Enhancer and Text Enlarger 0.4...it's a start. For DCS World 1.5.2.48726.137 and 2.0.0.48763
Chief1942 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I use a 4K monitor and have taken to keeping a magnifying glass within easy reach. Using Text Enlarger in the actual sim really does help a lot. But whenever I am compelled to use the Mission Editor, I have to make use of the magnifying glass. Old Marine here. Adapt and overcome!! Would like to see it scaled, but then I really do appreciate all that ED does for us so am low to be too critical of them. I don't re-visit the options page too often, once I've made my choice of settings that's it for me.
BManx2000 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Yes, try my mod. I also have a new one called Briefing Size Doubler. Find the mods here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=149832 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=173907 As the author of these mods, I can tell you that rewriting the entire UI to be scalable would be a ton of work. What they could do however, would be to render the UI at a lower resolution and then upscale it to the monitor resolution. It would be pixelated but better than nothing.
