If that does not work, uninstall it and download it from the Facebook group page.

 

I dont use facebook. Is there another place I can download it? Also I do have simshaker wheels, could that be a problem?

Yes it is. I have it for my car racing rig. Which is why I am wondering if there is a conflict between the SSFA and SSFW?

Yea I'm not sure if there is a conflict between the racing one and ssa. Try completely in installing it via windows control panel then reinstalling if you did not do that.

Have done that. No fix. Also the only problem is with the Hornet... every other plane/chopper gets the good vibs.

Yea that's because they can't get access to the engine and rpm and Apu rpm value to model it correctly. It does produce vibration when you do things like put hook down, gear, etc. It's work in progress as of now.

I understand its a WIP, however I get NO vibes (nada, zip,zilch, a big 'ol goose egg) in the Hornet. SSFA does not recognize that the Hornet module is active.

Same thing for me, works fine for other aircraft, even if I select role and change planes without exiting the mission/session. Hornet I get zero.

 

Simshaker script file does not have a hornet entry. I deleted it, and when I restarted simshaker it made another lua file, but still no hornet.

For me it works when I'm in the air. Just got the latest auto update to the beta. Other than that on the ground you won't feel any rumble.

1.2.0.0 if you use the SimShaker shortcut it automatically checks for updates. Future SSA versions might come with additional update checker...

 

Thanks sze5003 now I get it in the dropdown box. simshaker for aviator works ok for A-10c but in Hornet I get no vibs. I do get the following error message.

This error says, that you don't have some database entries for the Hornet. Usually the database updates automatically. I'm not sure why it did not on your side. What you could try, make a backup of your settings. You can export/save your settings from SSA BUT please do also an oldschool backup with pen&paper or screenshots!!!!!

 

After you made the backup, you could reset the internal database, this will remove ALL settings!!! There is a button in the service tab of SSA.

And then, try again...

I was not using the original .exe because it stopped working after the last update.

Got it, thank you. I uninstalled both simshaker and sound module, and reinstalled them and it seems to be working fine now. Oddly enough, I was also having issues with my motion rig not working for the F18, all other aircraft worked fine. Well after I reinstalled everything, the motion started working. Thank you again for your attention here.

The solution is start the program from somewhere within your appdata folder. It is probably randomly generated so search for "SimShaker for Aviators beta.exe" in your appdata folder. After you run it once from there, the shortcut will start to work. You could also create a new one from there. For anyone reading this.

Are you talking about a simshaker vibration bug or something?

 

If you are you talking about the shockwave dancing over the canopy when going supersonic, that seems realistic, details probably provided by Boeing. Speaking of which, I bet that shockwave comes with some vibrations in real life... I wonder what sim data you can use for that f4l0, the speed would change with altitude and atmospheric conditions...

I've only had it happen with the seat but then I haven't flown the Hornet without it. The sound volume cuts in half. There seems to be a correlation to the throttle movement. Hard to explain. Like all the sounds working then th e engine sound cuts off and then comes back on repeatedly.

It's not a seat thing. Happens in non seat mode also...
