Hi Zeus,

Just in case you missed what I asked earlier: the DRP switch in the cockpit currently turns in a continuous manner, will you be changing this to a sequence of discrete positions? It would be easier to manipulate with the mouse if it is discrete positions (like the radio knobs or INS mode knob).

Also, if you don't mind, what is this panel that Azrayen was mentioning which isn't modeled?

Keep up the good work! This module is by far my most favorite!

The DRP has been changed to a series of discrete positions.

No. There is a specific CMD panel that the M-2000C does not use.

Not sure if it will help you Zeus but You can edit Programs for A-10C easily.

Don't know if you knew that or if it will help you by any chance but if you go to

\Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Cockpit\Scripts\AN_ALE40V\device

And open file called: "AN_ALE40V_params.lua"

You can chance the flair and chaff amounts for different kinds of programs.

I personally use this a Mod to have my own programs all set up when I'm in A-10C so I don't have to fiddle around with it every time.

You decide if it's helpful or not : p

These are the final changes made to the CMD:

CMD%20Flowchart_zpsydo5qqtg.png

DRM (marked LL) is the system master switch.

DRP only controls the decoy release program.

If DRM is in A (Off) you cannot release chaff nor flares.

If DRM is in SA or AU but DRP is in A: you cannot use the decoy release program but PANIC release is now available.

If DRM is in SA or AU and DRP is between 1 to 10: you can use the selected decoy release program and PANIC release.

ECM%20Panel_zpswlfnprvf.png

Button 5 = Decoy Release Mode (DRM).

Knob 6 = Decoy Release Program (DRP).

The Keyboard bindings are now these:

FLARE release is now Decoy Program Release.

CHAFF release is now Decoy PANIC Release.

There are new keyboard bindings for the DRM switch and DRP knob so you can map them to the keyboard and/or joystick.

Default Decoy Release Program is the following:

Decoy%20release%20program%203_zpse195a3gd.png

Also we have included the éclair pod release position. Now when you use the éclair pod, the chaff and flares will be released from the pod position instead of the internal containers position.

The following are not available at this time:

1. Automatic decoy release (AU).

2. Ability to modify decoy release program.

We will provide them as soon as we can.

Excellent!! :D

DRM controls the decoy system as a whole (just like nearby switches BR, DA...), so A = powered Off.

DRP controls programs. If not program (A), no launch, except for PANIC that is program-independent by nature.

Thanks a lot, Zeus.:)

That one makes perfect sense.

Is it possible to set your own release programs in a .lua somewhere, and if so: will it pass the integrity check?

I know we could get this function in-game but I would already like to change some things since I am used to using my own release programs (via Joystick makro)

Great job as always Zeus, she is close to complete now.

Now, I can agree. Outstanding work, Razbam!

AWESOME!

I'm becoming boring, but I have to say again: love the openness, communication and constant development "traction" that Razbam is demonstrating.

Is there any way to find out what program is selected besides looking at the switch itself?

No, there isn't. But a quick glance can tell you the switch position.

Would it be possible to edit the first post of this thread with the latest program table for quick reference and not to confuse people too much? :)

Thx for the great update!

I have "created" this kneeboard page from the finalised charts that Zeus has posted, simply copy it into this folder

C:Users\(name)\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\M-2000C

Since there was no answer about my previous question, and the changes have made it to 2.0 already, can someone tell me if the countermeasure programs are editable in some .lua file and if that will pass the integrity check, would be much appreciated.

On another note. I only have a single light (LL) in the RWR to indicate CMD status.

So far it works as follows:

DRP Knob in A position: LL is Off.

DRP Knob between 1 to 10 position:

DRM in A position: LL blinks fast (2 blinks per second).

DRM in SA position: LL blink slow (1 blink per second).

DRM in AU position: LL steady.

Now I want to implement ERROR codes, like the ones that my Plasma TV has:

LL blinks three times per second: No flares

LL blinks four times per second: No chaff.

LL Blinks five times per second: CMD is off line (either No chaff and flares or the system is damaged).

But I am not sure how feasible this is. So I am asking for your opinion on this one.

Zeus, don't you guys have any precise info on how it behaves IRL?

Same as the program modes. Are those non-stamdard and just pre programmed befre the flight?

This is how it is behaving right now.

There is not much to go. Most of the functionality is an educated guess. Aircraft defenses are among the most heavily classified items there are and nobody, not matter how willing, is authorized to speak about them. Not even for a simulator.

Yep. Things are so strict about the matter that pilot doing AMAs actually have a predefined response to answers regarding defenses, even if it's only about manuevering or general tactics. I can't be sure obviously, but I believe they're forced to copy paste the given answer and can't even give their own rendition of the refusal.

Got it bro! I appreciate the quick response on the matter.

Muchas gracias! :)

Err... it's not been there for a month, not even released on the 1.5 yet... and Zeus is away for the moment.

Razbam guys are proficient at publishing news on what they're doing and what to expect (changelogs... etc.)

What's the point, here?

Ah, didn't know that.

What's the point, here?

I just wanted to change some of the CM programs for a squadron mission, with just releasing 3 to 4 flares, instead of 6.

OK :)

My question was more about why asking now ("so soon" in my opinion), not why the feature would be nice to have: on this I fully agree with you :)

For 3 flares (and 6 chaff), use the "panic" mode ;)
