While not outright promised, they heavily hinted at Swedish ground units to go with the Viggen. This together with the lack of AI companions (J 35 / JA 37) makes the lovely Viggen stuck in a vacuum.

@Cobra Way back when i think i recall you talking about Swedish ground units to go with the Viggen, is this still in the plans at all? Any more liveries planned for the Viggen? It's pretty bare bones right now in terms of liveries and i again, think, i recall you mentioning aiming for about 20 liveries. To have all three major air flotillas represented would be nice at least. F 6 Karlsborg and F 15 Söderhamn are currently missing. F 21 Luleå never actually operated AJ / AJS to my knowledge. Any update on the AI J 35 Draken? If i remember something wrong, i wouldn't be surprised. I'm going off years old memories right now. Love the Viggen, hoping to see some finishing touches!

Thanks for the reply Headwarp. It is a software issue of some kind, i've troubleshooted everything i could think of (including what you suggested). Did you read the posts in which i've said that all other games i've tried utilizes my GPU to the fullest? There is no indication of a hardware issue of any kind. I've also messed with power settings, clean reinstall of drivers, deleting DCS config files, reinstalling DCS and much more. The only thing that remains to be tried is a complete reinstall of Windows. My computer is long overdue for a system reinstall so i'll do that. If that doesn't work i have zero clue what might be causing it. Also, it is worth noting that i ran the exact same settings (High) on a 1070 with more than double the FPS i'm currently achieving. No other parts of the computer has been changed. I also came to the conclusion that when i'm in game, the GPU goes to idle. If i press escape and open up the pause menu it goes into performance mode and acts like it would when you are playing the game. In-game: 70W power usage Escape Menu: 180W+ power usage Other games: 180-250W power usage I run a 750W Gold series Corsair power supply.

Thanks for the replies. I've tried everything i could think of including a complete clean driver install using the recommended software, clearing of DCS config files and more. I have come to a conclusion though. When in the menu it is fully utilizing the GPU with 3x the output and is in performance mode. For some reason, it thinks the menu is the game and the game is the menu. Edit: It draws close to 200W in the menu with a GPU usage of about 65%, while in-game it draws about 75W and GPU usage is 15-20%.

Hello, I recently upgraded to a 2080 ti. I've had performance improvements on all games with the exception of DCS, where the performance dropped significantly compared to my 1070. I can only achieve 40 FPS in Single Player where my last card easily ran double that. Looking at GPU-Z, a software that monitors GPU sensors. The RTX 2080 Ti never leaves "idle" mode and it stays at very low power consumption. I've messed with everything from drivers to Windows power setting and also checked many other games which all go into performance modes and uses substantially more power and draw more resources from the card. I run a i7 6700k overclocked to 4.2 GHz. CPU usage is relatively low and no core is close to being maxed out. I have high performance mode for both CPU and PCI-E slots and it can draw as much power as it wants. 32 GB of DDR4 RAM SSD for DCS / Skjold

I'm just getting this error when i try to create a new profile using the 0.6 files. Any ideas?

Beautiful map and models, however... I will not purchase this due to what i perceive to be a bad business model that will only serve to further fragment our already small player base.

As a general rule of thumb, Viggen does not support mixed weapons.

I agree, they are slow. Setting QFE with keybinds or in the cockpit itself is painful and takes longer then it should.

You forgot that the RWR and IFF systems also are classified on the A-10, possibly the datalink too?

Why would you use introduction year vs. first flight? The real numbers should have been 1963 vs. 1981.

If you live in Sweden, i can safely say that you can finish work and come home to the Viggen :)

Leatherneck seems to have done an amazing job on the Viggen and i can't wait to get my hands on them this friday! Been waiting for this for the better part of 18 months now :D Off topic: Yep, the two missions that i made that heavily featured the Viggen is Norrland Defense 1981 and 1990. I don't think it is iconic at all outside of Sweden... HOWEVER... it brings a tons of firsts to DCS such as anti-ship missiles, stand off weaponry, STOL, surface radar & thrust reverser.
