While I am anxious like many others to see 2.5 to be released, I am actually more happy to hear that it Will NOT be released this year as planned because they still have more work to do.

I would Much Rather wait to have more fully functioning DCS World and Aircraft than get them early and have to struggle through so many annoying issues.

I realize that there will always be issues with New Releases etc, but the more ED/DCS can eliminate prior to release, the better it is for everyone IMO.

Good Decision Folks.

Keep up the good work (and I apologize now for all my previous bitching).

I think we get spoiled a little with these guys.

None of the other games or software I use has this level of continual updates and communication with its customers.

As I'm sure everyone else would, I'd love to have had 2.5 over Christmas but I do genuinely appreciate that we'll be getting a much higher product when it arrives.

Curious though, if Normandy is coming out first it will be released in 2.x Nevada to work alongside Vegas?

Well, sure, it's better to get things when they are actually working. But you know, it's not like it must be either released bugged versions or delayed working versions. Sometimes people are actually able to stick to their schedules without delaying it by months.

That being said, it can all happen and nothing will change for me without 2.5. However i would have liked for them to update Caucasus before Nevada and the Normandy map, because Caucasus is the map everybody has and will get, especially those new players who might approach the sim for the first time and might enjoy even more the reworked map.

Couldn't agree more. I'd much rather ED take the time to make it a good quality release rather than rush something out just to meet some arbitrary release date.

I'm not really seeing the reason for focusing on the Normandy map before the release of 2.5, as there wont be any way to use it.

N44 will work with the DCS2.0 release.

I wish ED would charge us for DCS World as it is such a great product...then it could be funded, planned and staffed appropriately to meet targets on/near time along with all its other projects. The whole problem here for all the delays is that they give it away !
