mattebubben Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) And this part Talks heavily about the Viggen and how it would have been used as well as the Airforce as a whole during the cold war period. Edited December 7, 2016 by mattebubben
RaXha Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) Part 2 released: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRlrD2Nk7a0 Hm... how do you embed the youtube videos? You use the tags [ YOUTUBE ] and [/ YOUTUBE ] with the video number you want to embedd, so if the youtube adress is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRlrD2Nk7a0 you put eRlrD2Nk7a0 between the tags. Unfortunately i got a response from the guys running that youtube channel that they have no plans to add english subtitles. :-/ Edited December 7, 2016 by RaXha
Agremont Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Maybe not the most interesting video, but I love the sound. Edited December 8, 2016 by Agremont
Stingray87 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Looks like he starts with the thrust reverse doors closed. The tarmac under the aft of the airctraft starts to smoke after a while. Nice. :D Is that the normal procedure? Edited December 8, 2016 by Stingray87 System Intel Core i5 8600k 3,6 GHz, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, GeForce GTX 1070Ti, Windows 10 64 Bit, Tm Warthog HOTAS, Trackir 5
BravoYankee4 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 The same situation as in #13, but from another angle. It never get's old watching this brute force :D
Pocket Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Looks like he starts with the thrust reverse doors closed. The tarmac under the aft of the airctraft starts to smoke after a while. Nice. :D Is that the normal procedure? There is a venting hole from the engine in the bottom of the fuselage. You can see it right behind the aerial antenna on this picture. So no, the reverser doors are not closed.

Ice_Cougar Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Found a somewhat recently published video of Ja-37Ds. It demonstrates the over-wing vapor effects and canard vortices very well. Actually reminds me somewhat of the Hornet/Growler Ball videos :D
RaXha Posted December 15, 2016 Author Posted December 15, 2016 I dont think this has been up here before, it was recently published to youtube. Swedish only I'm afraid. :P
25391 Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Some cool viggen footage from the swedish movie "Älskar älskar inte".
AdurianJ Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Vetandets Värld is a Swedish science and technology show which can best be described as the Swedish version of NOVA on PBS. This episode which is all in Swedish is about the development of the viggen. There are some nice clips of the Viggen in it that's uncommon. At 13:50 you can see an RB05 launch and guidance !
Pocket Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Not really a Viggen video, but this is a must see to get a nice feel for the low flying boys of the time...
mattebubben Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) Those are some Real men doing some Real Flying. Looking forward to do the same thing in the Viggen simply at higher speeds ^^. Edited January 9, 2017 by mattebubben

Ice_Cougar Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 (Ofc with less fighter and more blowing stuff up from tree-top level ^^)
BravoYankee4 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Not really a Viggen video, but this is a must see to get a nice feel for the low flying boys of the time... This is truly awesome. My uncle was an A32 Lansen pilot and he has some great stories to tell :) He is also looking forward to try the DCS Viggen module and see how much better the Viggen is.
AdurianJ Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) Found this wide that had interesting weapons test footage in it from about the middle ! It mainly covers all kind of testing by SAAB Edited January 11, 2017 by AdurianJ
