I wonder if @Jabbers is actually still supporting this. I know he wasn't that keen on it considering he can use Oculus Dash. However, I think this is still a great utility and some of us can't even get dash working properly at all. I can get my entire desktop working in Dash but cannot pull out a separate window. Plus its not always all that great to have a window floating around in the VR space.

I wouldn't mind seeing this utility continue to be supported. Is it open source @Jabbers (scratch that - I see that its on GitHub)?

You betcha. Dash is rubbish for the pit. Got it working but to park it somewhere uninvasive its too small.

Delta,

I believe pulling individual windows out on the dash is now considered a "beta" feature after they went full dash for all users. If you open the menu that appears with the left touch controller in Oculus Home, there is a tab there with the option to select "pull out individual programs/windows" something along that line, and it should allow you then pull out one specific window by holding "a" and then using the grip to pull it. Hope this helps!!

It has been for ages, just never worked well if at all. Or it was problematic on a subset of systems or something. Sometime in the last month or so after some update it started working better for me.

I support it still, but forgot to flag this thread to notify me of comments so lost track of it till now. I still use it to this day, infact just reinstalled it with no issue to my surprise :)

Not a fan of this method, its intrusive, pain to setup for every stream I do.

Ya I had lots of problems with it in the past, even if its fixed now, its still really intrusive.

Need to look at your twitch2dcs.log file (be aware your oauth key might be logged in it, so dont post it directly here). You can PM me, hit me up on discord as well, take the oauth key out of the file before sending, or something, i need to remove that from the logging in the future for this reason.

Additionally did you reboot DCS after you entered the code? As for it not hiding, not sure, i'd have to try, i know ED made some changes to the MP chat window (which this is based on) in 2.5.4 so need to investigate when i get time, perhaps something broke.

Jabbers,

OK, got it working, but I am still unable to Hide / Show the window. it is always on. Let me know what you find, as it gets in the way when I am not streaming, and uninstalling the mod over and over is a little cumbersome.

Thank you sir.

Just disable it in the module manager section of the settings page. The same area you put your OATH key in at.

Okay, I'll test my install this week. Very likely something changed with 2.5.4, I have noticed that there is a very noticeable box around the chat now, where as before it was completely transparent.

tried installing per the instructions but no dice.

I didn't edit any files because I am assuming the latest beta 1.0.3 Beta no longer requires that...

I unzipped the file and placed the folder into the saved games dcs folder. I then started DCS and went to settings. I did not see anything related to Twitch user name or pw. I did follow the instructions and was able to obtain oauth key. So I have that put away for when ever I get this figured out.

I also looked in the module manager and didn't see anything related.

I am using the latest beta of DCS World. DCS 2.5.4.28841

So possibly this version of Twitch2DCS isn't compatible with the current version of DCS...

The attached JPG is a ss of the file structure where I dumped the file into the saved games.

Thanks.

Chase.

Open that Twitch2DCS-1.0.3Beta folder and drag the Mods and Scripts folder out to that directory where the Twitch2DCS folder resides. Once that is complete delete that Twitch2DCS folder.

Mods and Scripts should reside in /Saved Games/DCS/

You downloaded the wrong files, you need to download from the Release tab on GitHub, not the source code directly
