leafer Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 A guy at frugalsworld said 'Shepski is no longer with us', so I was wondering if he's still around. Would be ashamed to lose either of them. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
SuperKungFu Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Really? Come to think of it, I haven’t seen them around for a while. It's been a while since their last post...don't want to see another respectable member go away. Another person i havent seen in a long time was Kouster (not sure if I spelled that right), but he was pretty popular; I dunno why he stopped posting though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
leafer Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 Yeah. Then someone else mentioned he had seen shepski on some other forum only a day ago. Scared the crap out of me. Thought he passed away. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
3Sqn_Fudd Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Well I know Shepski had a child recently... that can certainly change priorities... I know from experience how awesome and generous he is! http://3sqn.com/forum/ Here's to 1.13 -- > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0488djMDBU
SwingKid Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 And SwingKid finally got a job, leaving him no time to post - but he was always a bit of a crank anyhow. :) -SK

SwingKid Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 It must be hard working all day and coding a dynamic campaign engine at night. Or vice versa. On the balance, grad school was about the same. It's the months of transition stuff (graduating, relocating, changing insurance, etc.) that's been keeping me away. Bureaucrats are slow. -SK
leafer Posted October 30, 2006 Author Posted October 30, 2006 A kid! Well, that explains it. That's like working two full-time jobs right there. :) Swingkid, you looked different by the way. Did you do something to your hair? Changed your diet...maybe? :D ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
Shepski Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Hi Leafer, All is well and I'm really enjoying being a Dad but between work, which I'm flying maximum days per month, and this new little guy in our life, I haven't had much time for anything else. Cheers! Andrew... where and what job did you get?
Andrew_McP Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 All is well and I'm really enjoying being a Dad Ah, I missed this. Congratulations Mark! (And Mrs Shepski, who probably had some part in it ;-). Sometimes it's easy to look at this messed up planet and wonder why anyone would want children. But when you contemplate the fact that we all represent an unbroken chain of dividing cells running back into the deep, dark depths of history, it seems like a shame to waste all the evolutionary effort* that put us here. Best wishes to you all. Andrew McP *Other versions of this post are available for Creationists, but this forum doesn't allow swearing, so... ;-)
ARM505 Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Congrats Shepski + family! I remember we did the -200 conversion at about the same time. I'm about to finish (today) the last sim ride for the -500 conversion, should start on the line this week sometime. Nice to have an FMC and some TV screens at last! Good luck and fly safe.

AndyHill Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Mobile phone companies love dynamic campaigns for Lock on. You can also try asking what they think about dense grids. And fantastic campaign systems. _______________________________________________________________ Lock on MUST have a dynamic campaign system with multiplayer capability!
