Reflected Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I set the heli pad's frequency to 251 Mhz. This is my radio panel. I request takeoff, and he never answers. What am I doing wrong? Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
razo+r Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 try put 251 in the upper VHF or how that is called in, and see if that helps
Kang Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 You can't put the VHF AM to 251MHz. But the problem might be that in DCS the ATC folks insist on using the VHF band, despite the airbases having listed secondary frequencies.
Reflected Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 A-haaa! Thanks!! I realized UHF is for air to air comms, VHF is for ATC. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
grunf Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Place a FARP Command post near the FARP, it should work. You can find it in Structures. BTW, you can use both UHF and VHF to communicate with ATC, aa well as for air communication.
Reflected Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Thanks, now I managed to talk to the FARP, but a new issue surfaced: I ask for permission to take off. I get it, then I lift off to a hover, turn into the wind and off I go. When I come back, and try to contact the FARP, the only option is "abort takeoff" as if I still haven't taken off. Why is this happening? Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
