DCS 1.5 (Latest stable release)

Regular rockets is firing just fine but when I try to launch the heavy rockets nothing happens. I thought that the launching procedures are the same.

If this is a bug I will report it accordingly but I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

you need to put the weapon selector to the S24 position

maybe it's described in the manual, look into it

Sorry if I was unclear, of course I select the rockets in the weapons panel S-24 either from 1-2 pylon or 3-4 pylon. Still can't fire them though. I read the manual and followed the procedures. I've fired them before but haven't flown MiG-21 for a while and thought something might've changed.

Uhm... "1-2", "3-4"? You're not selecting pylons like for AA missiles, are You? The selector switch positions for S-24 are counter-clockwise from these.

I promise :D I've fired these rockets like a hundred times before. It is just now they are not working. Last time I had an issue with the MiG 21 it was just the developers that changed a default position of a switch so I wanted to make sure the same hadn't happened again before I report it as a bug. ;)

Works fine for me.

Can you fire them if you start in the air?

No. Also I've tried all other A2G weapons and they work fine, including GROM missiles which fire from the same weapon selector position as the S24.

Do you have any mods that may conflict? If so, I'd suggest uninstalling them and do a repair (or integrity check for steam version).

Try making a new mission with a new loadout in case there is a problem with an older mission. The S-24 should fire as long as that station is selected, is powered, and launch permission is given. Try clicking the fire button in the cockpit to make sure there is not a joystick binding issue.

This worked. Must've been some error with my mission. I created a new mission and it worked no problems. The mission was a bit old so it might have been some lingering bug or something.

Anyway thanks for all the help and input! That is why I love the DCS community. :pilotfly:
