Hi all,

You know i already created a "VTH++" mod, but i create a new topic, because the mod is now at a new level.

I have spent long houres working on the HUD to perfect it according the real one, testing all mods and situation. Using several sources (listed bellow), i ajusted positions and size of all elements, including textures to respect placement and proportions of the real Mirage 2000's HUD. I can't list here all element that changed, since almost all was modified in small or big proportion, some are only small details barely perceptible, but which make the difference, other elements was totaly reworked.

attachment.php?attachmentid=156998&stc=1&d=1486765626

Non exhaustive list of modification:

- Pitch ladder texture & placement for perfect alignment.

- Heading tape totaly reworked in proportions (+ with working mipmap)

- DLZ texture & placement modified

- Interception and NEZ rings modified

- Several texture element & alignment modified to enhence visual

- Overall elements placement modified to better reflect real HUD

My sources of inspiration:

Litigious element:

I still don't know where the CCM H-Scan mode 'BAH'/'BA2' should be placed. I appear impossible to be at right, since in Magic mode, with DLZ, the right part of the hud is already full of data... So, i placed it aside the <-> icon...

If you see a problem, please tell me.

I prefer the spacing in the original HUD.

Seems some of the numbers are jammed too close and x-space (font spacing) is too close making it hard to read. (Alpha indicator needs letter spacing)

I'm not sure which is more correct, but I prefer the larger original HUD size as the mod one is more difficult to read for folks who don't have "young" eyes.

Cheers

Hello sedenion, in the links you used as documentation you are mainly using 2000D and 2000-5 HUD symbology... The BGS(Boitier generateur de Symboles) on those types are not the same at all (Mirage 2000D and -5 Versions are similar, and B/C/N versions are the same).

I can also notice that Razbam did not implemented the "Radar Slaving"" mode on the Magic missile (making appear a triangle and a specific tone). The tone can be found in the Mirage 2000 Sound folder, but no such function in flight. could be a nice addition to your mod.

Maybe there are some 2000-D or 2000-5 hud, but for what i was seeking for, i doubt the difference with 2000-C was significant.

Maybe you can tell me what element is not at the right place for a 2000-C Hud ? If you look close, you will see that almost all elements are placed in the same configuration than the original Razbam HUD elements, but all is realigned and adjusted according proportions.

What realy changed is mainly the DLZ (completely reworked), the heading tape, and the interception circle. Also the Navigation indication was placed according sources, and logically (in the Razbam version, this elements move from normal to APP mode)... other things are little texture tweaks and size/placement of elements.

I cannot add elements that Razbam did not implemented in its module (such as "Radar Slaving")... we can only modify on the cosmetic part (Lua and textures).
