Thank you guys... I got the file from that hellenicsquadron website. The updater downloads the latest updates itself... very nicely done by walmis :D

This F-15 model is getting to become pretty damn good... Imean, it's very good already but with adding more detil and tweaking it up bit by bit it'll be as good as perfect!!! It's getting in that direction anyway :)

bug or ??

Justa question , as u can see from these screenshots the pilot's face is white, same inside the engines when AB is not burning and weapons are not in place.

Is it my problem or this addon isnot yet perfect on these aspects?

thanx

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the package and running the updater again.

I found the same problem after trying to install a FPS tweak. Reinstalling the packager and updater should work.

yea i had the same problem as zaGURUinzaSKY before, even after like 2 reinstalls. The latest update was suppose to fix that but i guess it didn't. You would have to extract it to another folder and copy the files over to Lock On. But doing this is a little tricky since you can't direct the installer to a certain folder, So rename you current lock on folder to lock on 2, then create a new folder called lock on and run the installer. When its done, copy the files over to lock on 2 and rename it back again. Hope u understand.

Yep, I'll second that. You are making this a very painless process walmis, thank you. The improvements are appreciated! Here's my list of most desired improvements for future revisions, all probably things you are already addressing:

- Gear retract speed (haven't actually re-tested since latest update was released)

- Wing "twist", a.k.a washout

- Cannon aperture shape more closely to the real thing

- Fuselage armament alignment (perhaps an impossibility)

- GPS antennae

- Pilot visor down (perhaps in conjunction with canopy closing anim?)

- Intake upper leading edge geometry added for depth

- Refueling port texture

P.S. I'm officially addicted to this thread, I must check it twenty times a day looking for updates, I'm considering making it my homepage :P.

Ok, I contacted a F-15 Crew Chief that posts on another board, and this is what he said about the "bump/antenna" on the nose.

It's the old JTIDS (Joint Tactical Information Distribution System) antenna. We don't operate that datalink system anymore. It's known as FIDL.

So..basically, it's the System Link antenna, not the GPS, never-the-less, it should be there.

So, late production F-15C Eagles do not have that little antenna or they had it but were removed ?!

Walmis, what about NAV lights @ wingroots, are they possible?

Thanks!

I think it's a mixed bag, since I can see them on Langleys jets "FF" Mountain Homes "MO" , Lakenheaths "LN" and Kadena's "ZZ". I think it's just a mixed bag, ranging from F-15's with production years from 1979 to 1986.

I haven't seen too many Eagles with such antenna so I suppose it was optional feature, just like you said! I have some photos of Kadena's 'ZZ' and Lakenheath's 'LN' Eagles without pimple antenna. Pics dating from 1992 and published in Encyclopedia of World Military Aircraft by David Donald and Jon Lake (ISBN: US 1-880588-24-2).

I have some books (encyclopedias) describing and depicting F-15C (3D views, photos) and there might be an error in comparing LO pics with perfect topdown, side and front views (diagrams). LO and it's camera angles slightly distort the model, that's why we might have differences in shape and size of certain parts, for instance with canopy frame that I mentioned on previous page and cone shape. Walmis made it pefrectly after the diagrams but LO itself might be the reason they're displayed slightly awkward!

Try zooming out while in F1 (cockpit) view and notice how the pit distorts like looking thru the fish-eye lens (wide angle). Same thing might distort external views (F2, F3).

Also, Walmis!

Dont forget to delete the "stinger" housing for the tailhook! the tailhook is supposed to just stick out! The housing was removed/deleted off of all F-15's a while back!

Nice pics ViperEagle...

I saw Mountain Home 'Wild Boars' Eagles and skins look kinda darker than Lakenheat (Compass Ghost), like they're painted Ghost Gray/Gunship Gray. In LO I use Birds of Prey pack by D-Schyte and Wild Boards have simmilar colors as Lakenheat.

Can you please compare real life photos with Birds of Prey skinpack that's available here: http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=103#dl

Please can you tell when are those Lakenheat pics taken as they might be earlier camos?!

I know it is a totally minor issue, but I noticed that pilot's head turn too much.

F.e. when I'm looking at 1 o'clock where the canopy frame is, pilot's head in external view is already looking at 3 o'clock.
