So I heard 1.5.6 has a had an update. Just wondering if its OK to install it now or does it still have problems in VR? If it's running as well as 1.5.5 I will reinstall it but the question is, is it?

I can't speak to VR performance, but it takes forever to load. I wouldn't call 1.5.6 good at this point.

Not sure what update you might be referring to, the last update I see for 1.56 was on Jan 27th.

I think for whatever reason some had issues and some not so much - I myself did not see a big difference between 1.55 and 1.56.

1.5.6 works fine UNLESS there are clouds... Any clouds present will kill my FPS by 50%.

Under 1.5.5, I can play the SU-25t target practice mission in VR and get a consistent 45+ FPS. Running the same mission under 1.5.6, my FPS is below 30 and frequently below 22. If I edit the mission to make it clear sky's, my FPS is back above 45.

I hope ED can resolve this issue as I would like to run 1.5.6 but can't afford the cloud overhead...

Nothing like flying through those 3D clouds!

Yep, its fine without clouds. Same with DCS 2. Clouds for some reason kill the frames.
