OnlyforDCS Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 i find it quite strange by the way, that when people discuss upcoming or potential aircrafts in this forum, the general flight controls / handling characteristics are never of great concern. I guess you've never visited the FC3/Su27 section of the forum then. Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.
twistking Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 (edited) I guess you've never visited the FC3/Su27 section of the forum then. i haven't indeed:) (just to be sure: i mean real world flight characteristic. i guess most of us here, do care a lot about the fidelity of simulation/recreation of these characteristics) oh, and i would also never write off an airplane, because of handling alone. f.e. i'm also quite excited about the f-18 for many reasons. flight characertistic being none of them though. (now, that i'm thinking about it: i could probably disengage the f-18's sas/cas to get the hands-on experience. might not be reasonable though :joystick: ) Edited May 17, 2017 by twistking My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original

Robert31178 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Loving this thread. There are some really knowledgeable people on here and it's nice to read through this and have answers to questions I would never think of myself, but that are undoubtedly important to running the 'Cat. One day I'll catch up....thanks everyone for helping me get closer!!! ~Rob

One day I'll catch up....thanks everyone for helping me get closer!!! ~Rob I share you sentiment! I have found these forums to extremely informative and have learned quite a lot in my short time here. My only hope is that i have somehow managed to contribute at least a bit to this wealth of knowledge :smartass: hooray for manual override! Pocket Sized Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 what about the release date of F 14? Cobra said it is predicted to be released this year (with no small amount of confidence) but I wouldn't accept that as an official statement just to be on the safe side. DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
jcdata Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 NASA help implement an ARI control law... Some of you don't understand what control laws can do. Will there be cross controls modeled?? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
