1CGS has an immediate need for a TRANSLATOR to help us translate Japanese language reference materials for airplanes, ships, weapons and equipment etc. into English. This will include books, drawings, websites and any other documentation we have or may acquire in the coming months.

"Battle of Midway" as the first installment of a Pacific Theater series was officially announced a long time ago, and has been and continues to be discussed, debated, and argued, extensively on a broad range of topics across a variety of threads on the IL2 forums.

 

So, the answer to the question posed on your title is a resounding "yes!" :)

Just got back into IL-2:BOS after a long break following their VR implementation - and oh WOW it is awesome! So smooth cruising around, and the clouds are amazing.

 

I actually felt real panic the other day as I followed a 109 down into thick cloud in my Yak-1...to obviously lose visual on him and suddenly realise I had no idea what way was up. I frantically scanned the instrument panel for an AI (Been a while since flown a WWII a/c!) - to find it doesn't have one - bugger.

I resigned myself to my fate and let the aircraft descend...popped visual pointing straight down, and popped a foo foo valve pulling out - then continued the search for my prey. Awesome! :joystick:

Keep in mind it was specifically stated at the beginning that "go" or "no-go" for both Pacific projectst would depend on financial success of upcoming BOK release. So we're not there yet as far as 1C's decisions are concerned, but looks like they're seriously looking at it anyway - that's an interesting piece of news, thanks.
