hello.

i have a problem whit the huey,

i started the heuy argo campaing, the first campaing whith the huey for me,

and i really love it...

but at my mission 3 when i drop the goods at the militaray training place, and then i pick up the ground people, i try to fly them at the place thy need to go... but afther i start flying whit those people, i cant stay flying for more than 30seconds and then somting hapens whit my blades i think...

i feel somthing breaking end directly crashing to the ground..

i am looking for the problem like mayby mastbumping or somthing like that but every time like afther the troop pickup i am crashing. even if i try to do it smooth. and try to do no mastbumping

am i forgetting somthing? or do i need to do somthing whit a troop pickup?

sorry for my english :)

if sombody can help me whith my problem i really be thankfull for it,

(if a tacvieuw file helps i have a couple of them)

Is throttle (not the collective) assigned to an axis? I got this problem when I assign throttle to an axis . And after I disabled it problem gone

I don't have warthog . Observe the control indicator screen When this power loss happens . If throttle indicator goes down it means there is something wrong with it. And does this problem only occurs during this campaign ?

The helicopter is very heavy in that mission, with door gunners and rocket pods and miniguns and troops on board. You have to gain speed first then try to climb, it can't climb all by itself, make sure the rotor RPM stays stable, lower collective if you have to.

And as trees are.NOT collidable, you can fly through the forest , very low!

Perhaps due to the weight gain due to the infantry, you have exceeded the maximum take-off weight for that pressure altitude. Max weight is 9500 lbs @ see level iirc.

It would be great if DCS modeled troop weight in the Huey, but it doesn't.

Edit: Unless the Argos mission is doing so??

Great help with the video, much easier to debug this problem!

It looks like you're running out of fuel and the engine just dies mid-air. The rest is unavoidable death because you failed to recognize the nature of the failure and you did not react accordingly. With a proper autorotation, you might have survived.

Anyway, the video is only about 3 minutes long, and the fuel gauge was at something like 30% fuel in the beginning. There's just no way the Huey uses that much fuel in such a short time, so there must have been a fuel leak (also indicated by the 20 minute fuel warning only about a minute before flame-out).

When you read the debriefing after the flight, look closely for any failures that occur at any time during the flight. Did you receive fire? Did you maybe break the chopper on a very hard landing? Collision with some kind of ground object?

You said it happens the same way every time. Can you check that "random failures" in DCS options is off? Seeing as they're supposed to be random, they shouldn't occur the same way all the time, but who knows.

Finally, if the matter remains unsolved, please post a track of your mission. While track playback is unreliable, it might still be possible for us to figure out the root cause of the fuel leak.

In the meantime, practice autorotations. Invaluable skill for any helicopter pilot.

And same here, can't check out Normandy until Saturday at the earliest. Chances are I'll take the Huey for my personal very first look. :)
