zero Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Never occurred since the ol days of M$ flightsim. And I am running hefty stuff P3Dv2 with a ton of addons. Solution?
javelina1 Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I just got a low memory warning as well. Closed out the sim while I was getting ready to T/O in MP. (System specs in my sig). cthulhu68 Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Try lowering pre-load radius and make sure page file is system controlled. Other things that helped me were MSAA 2X, flat shadows, updating Gpu driver with VC++ update.
zero Posted May 27, 2017 Author Posted May 27, 2017 Have a feeling that it occurs only (or most) in multiplayer.
snowsniper Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Have a feeling that it occurs only (or most) in multiplayer. Nope depends also of the mission you made. what i suspect is "the more object the more Ram bug". javelina1 Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I've (2) issues in MP. Both happened after logging into the 78th training server. Lots of stuff flying about on that one. the first time I had the low memory. the second time DCS just crashed... Both happened right after I T/O and was flying towards a target. No worries, it's alpha. we'll get it sorted. I'm happy the new map is out and we get to tinker a bit. snowsniper Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 (edited) memory problem saturation, redoable with this miz file. i've set my pagefile on SSD also as your advice. spec in my sig here is my log file . and miz file. edit with more test : with texture on "medium" instead of "high" RAM still around 14-15go depending of the mission, with no more problems (except MSAA)Test_normandy01spitfire.mizLogs.zip Edited May 28, 2017 by snowsniper i7-10700KF CPU 3.80GHz - 32 GO Ram - - nVidia RTX 2070 - SSD Samsung EVO with LG TV screen 40" in 3840x2150 - cockpit scale 1:1 - MS FFB2 Joystick - COUGAR F16 throttle - Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
JG14_Smil Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 I came here to see if there were any memory issues with the Normandy map(?). I note that my system is very sluggish after I exit DCS and the Normandy map. There is like a 5 second delay if I click the shutdown routine for Windows. I've never seen that happen after DCS before.
