Knock-Knock Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Anybody know of a good utility to sync folders, in specific, the Input folders between different builds? So if I change a control mapping for module X, the same change will automatically be applied to the other build, or builds. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Bearfoot Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 I've been using Synkron (http://synkron.sourceforge.net/) for a long time now to do exactly that. In addition to syncing from 2.x to 1.5 and vice versa, also sync to Dropbox as back up.

Close Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 You can also do this doing an mklink junction. This can be done by doing mklink /j "target" "original folder".
Chump Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 I have used Robocopy (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc733145(v=ws.11).aspx) with the /mon flag.

Agree ... this is the best solution, I have the important folders of my open beta and open alpha dcs instances point to the corresponding folder of the stable instance, so that when I update the control of an aircraft on one instance, it gets used also on the other two, it looks like this: :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
