gavagai Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Hi everyone, For me it is extremely difficult to judge height over the water in Normandy. This pic is from 150m asl. Water was set to "high" in the graphics options. VampireNZ Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 apparently it is realistic that way... Hmmmm - after several thousand hours flying at 250' over water, I would suggest otherwise. That has to be the flattest, most featureless sea-state 0 I have ever seen. I imagine it would be quite resource-hungry modelling super-realistic sea texture? Vampire
joey45 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 What's the wind state? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. lemoen Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) Came looking for this. I have been feeling this is a major problem too. Flying over the water at 10000ft or 100f makes little difference, the texture and colour is uniform like a game from the 1980s. Its like the LOD isn't working right. Edit: I see that one can actually see the water better if there is some wind in the mission, maybe water should have a non-zero amplitude when there is no wind. Edited August 5, 2017 by lemoen
