DCE Hornet_over_Caucasus-CVN-20.43.67


Can anyone explain me the tactics in mission 1 "intercept"?
I take off immediately with a wingman. In the area of Gudauta "flock" Mig-31 and Mig-29. All my attempts end in my destruction ..
To progress in this mission, do I need to destroy several targets myself or wait for help?

logically, you should try to stay alive...
That said, even if you are shot down, the campaign continues and you can get back on a plane.

You also have the F10 command "help CAP" which directs the nearest CAP to you, but I think it will already be busy....

download the latest versions of the DCE recently updated and uploaded (version 20.43.66 and higher)

see the first page of this thread for the download links.

The installer is in the zip and should simplify the installation and thus avoid errors

Also read the pdf, it has been "simplified", don't forget to read the FAQ in the pdf before posting a question.

Crisis in Persian Gulf for the F/A-18C. Apparently my reading comprehension is nil, I never realized. I'll try that next time instead of going to spectator (maybe I read "observer" and my brain saw "spectator" lol).

Oh I don't mind night ops, the "dark" part of cold and dark refers to a dark cockpit, generally a commercial aviation term I guess. Thanks for the tip though, I didn't realize I had this option. Going to start using it right now! 🙂

you may have a problem with space on CVN
You should also have all SuperCarrier

But you'd have to do some tests before inviting 12 players directly...

That said, to be sure to have everyone in the same package, you have to:
Start with a TASk Strike (example 4 F18 Strike)
Then a SEAD
Then an Escort
(always start with a STRIKE request)

if there is still some space missing:
The rest in CAP, they can join your flight plan

in my experience, there is always at least one person who has a problem (spawn damage, alignment pb ...).
So, these 20mn, we don't see them passing ^^

Any advice is more than welcome.

I made this version specially for our group MP flights : Crisis over PG-Hornet-CVN-Light-GC-22 with our last Scriptmod (43.70)

There are 2 CVN groups with Super Carrier and one Tomcat and Hornet squadron on each so no more rooms problems on bridges 🙂 

There's a VMA Harrier squadron on a LHA group too and all other ground squadrons available (Gazelle too).

It's the Crisis light version for better FPS...

Defaut first mission is a Strike on Khasab airbase with :

- 4 Hornet Strike on CVN-73

- 4 Tomcat Escort on CVN-71

- 4 Hornet SEAD on CVN-73

It seems to work but never tested with 12 players 😉

If yes, you have to install DCE on the server, it is done like on a normal PC.
Get the generated missions and put them in the list of missions to be played by the server.

It works like on an ordinary PC, but you need to have control over the dedicated server PC (Teamviewer for example).

So, at the end of the mission, there is a debriefing text page and the launch of a DCE-Dos window to generate the next mission.

But as explained above, DCE must be correctly installed on the dedicated server for this to work.
