Shinden Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Question about changing the aircraft type in DCE. I tried to change the F-14A to a F-14B but it doesnt seem to be working because I'm still encountering F-14A in the Hornet of PG map after editing the oob air lau. Did I do something wrong somehow? I copy pasted just how it was listed but they wont change.

If you want to continue your campaign you will have to change F-14A for F-14B in oob_air.lua in Status folder then select skipmission.bat. It should work... Shinden Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 I will try restarting the campaign. It didn't seem to work using skip mission bat and I ran into an issue where it said unable to generate next mission, restart campaign.
REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 It works. I have currently changed all F-14's without issue. Just make sure to set proper skins for them as well.
grant977 Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Is it possible to use the F14 and F18 in the same campaign so I can do caps in my 14 and then jump over to F18 for strike?
Love_Beam Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 I'm having the a problem with the hornet over PG The missions are great BTW! but the AI flights just orbit the airbase they took off from or the carrier... they only start doing anything after I already need them on the front line, then its 20mins until they get there. Am I doing something wrong?
PB0_CEF Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 Did you respect mission timing ? AI respect strictly timing so they take off and wait for good timing Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk [/url]All known Dynamic Campaign Engine Campaigns Last DCE news : Crisis in PG - Iran-Iraq War - TF-71 - TF80s - War over Beirut ...
Love_Beam Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Thats prob it! Im a big dummy! Is there anyway to speed it up? they are a full 20-30 mins behind us. Its myself and my brother playing co-op so we could just start the mission and leave it running for 20 mins before we start I guess
KidCharlemagne Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 You could always try changing the "startup_time_player" in the camp_init.lua file. As a default it's set to 1200 seconds, giving 20 minutes before the mission really gets going. I have mine set to 420 seconds (7 minutes), which seems to result in a properly timed mission. KC

Love_Beam Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Guys the map is offset for me, as you can see on the sa page im not where I should be for the start of the mission... its really weird. if you look through a mav or the TGP the map is right but the map I can see from my plane is wrong... its all offset somehow. Thats really hard to explain.

Andrei Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 (edited) Yes, I'm having the same problem. GPS coordinates that plane gets seem to be completely offset form the real ones. Looks like a hornet INS bug. Edited August 2, 2019 by Love_Beam
Andrei Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 It did help me actually. The only caveat that you need to add the TCN station details to the HSI, by entering it's channel and lat/long as well as elevation. Naturally, you need to be in range of the TACAN. For the Hornet over PG, the one near Bandar-e-Jask works well. It was reliable enough for the GPS weapons delivery. Shinden Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 I'm having a problem with the intercept missions. Anytime I get an intercept mission, there is almost always an allied flight spawned in and they kill them before I even get the chance to takeoff. Happening in all campaigns

RedeyeStorm Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 CEF-PBO, I just downloaded the M2k campaigns over Caucasus. There are two campaigns, one fighter and and one multirole. However when downloading both are the same description 'fighter'. Just to let you know.
D3adCy11nd3r Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Encase someone runs across this forum looking for an answer to the GPS position being wonky, change the date to 2001+ And for whatever reason I can not talk to the ship on the tomcat over PG. The ship frequency do not seem to work.
REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Try telling jester to switch to AM modulation.
D3adCy11nd3r Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 It is set to 124.600 the game states it needs to be set to 127.600. I looked in the mission editor last night and got the freq to change to the correct one but noticed I had to stennis carriers and no vinson... Going to redownload and see if that will fix it.
