Can't navigate folders when selecting mission

after the latest update 1.5.7.9411.361 I no longer can select other missions in the modules, in other words, I can't navigate through the folders, I mean there is no more the double dots folder to go up a level in a folder

try to go to "my missions" and see if the double dot is present there.

This is working as intended, you should only be able to access the aircraft's missions this way.

 

you can navigate by selecting any mission using the mission editor or using my missions for local user missions

tell me how you can now select the quickstart missions in the ka-50 folder "DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Missions\EN\QuickStart" without navigating all the folders back from my missions.

damn... I always used the wrong way to start a mission :smartass:

Be happy that you can get into "mission" menu at all, mine after the update just freezes and doesn't respond (I need to kill the process), while Instant Missions menu and Mission Editor work flawlessly. Tried cleanup and repair to no avail...

 

It's something in Saved Games, that's what I've figured out. Will try to narrow it down later.

rename your saved games DCS folder ( keep it as a backup ) and restart DCS and retest

I do not mind this change. I suppose I have to move all "my" missions to the folder structure under "Saved Games", and the advantage is that DCS no longer needs to run in admin mode in order to be able to change/create missions.

But I had no clue that this was coming and I thought this was a bug.

I have not seen this change communicated and it should have!

Yep, I know the drill :). That's exactly what I did and that's why I know something's wrong over there. Logs didn't explain all that much. I disabled all my mods, but I'm aware that might not be enough. Will start with a clean folder and move old sub-folders back one by one in the evening. Will get to it eventually

Found it. It was settings.lua file from MissionEditor folder, though I've no idea why it was causung such an issue.
