Nealius Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I'm getting a consistent left roll tendency. Zero wind conditions, roll trim is centered according to the Ctrl+Enter display, only symmetrical loads (or clean airframe), and the control panel shows my joystick is properly centered. Is this normal?
Bacab Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I have seen it too but it is not really annoying. However I wonder if it's a feature or a bug.
Nealius Posted October 25, 2017 Author Posted October 25, 2017 I had a few instances in rapid succession where upon engaging autopilot, then selecting ATTACK on the weapons knob, then disconnecting autopilot caused severe left roll. After the first 4 or 5 times, I was unable to reproduce.
Coxy_99 Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Glad im not the only one to spot this, A fix for me was re binding the axsis to use it.
Vatikus Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I get the roll only if I load different ordinance L/R - example: chaff pod on one side, ECM pod on other..
Krippz Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I only get roll tendency during dissimilar loadouts. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 64th "Scorpions" Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 195.201.110.22
Coxy_99 Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I have to calibrate my hotas warthog just to fly it, I can be empty, Loaded and i bet it will roll left every time, Ill be honest DCS is so bugged out i barely play it. Its a shame because its been the best flight sim ive used.

Buggy or the best sim? I‘ve never experienced a lot of bugs. Particular ones with particular modules which are early access or beta: yes. But not with final released products. Also, keep in mind the DCS framework and the modules implemented are pretty pretty complex and they (have to) run on a multitude of different hardware and OS. Even big companies with sh#tloads of money such as Apple sometimes (often?) have flaws in their software and they only run on a very limited hardware. Compared to that, DCS and the partners are doing an outstanding job and that certainly includes Heatblur and the Viggen! My 2 cents...

Ive been about DCS for awhile, Im well aware its beta, But this issue, Has occurred in the last few patches, I should not have to re calibrate my whole stick just to fly it? Its not just here but across DCSW as a whole even in release its frustrating with bugs. Edited October 26, 2017 by Coxy_99
Hog_No32 Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Have you tried a DCS repair or reinstalled DCS? I‘m using the TM Warthog as well and mostly fly the Viggen and to a lesser extent the A-10C recently, all this with the 1.5.7.x release. I don‘t have this issue with roll tendency, neither when clean nor with (similar) weapon loads.
FSKRipper Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Maybe you guys could attach a track. I never experienced the roll effect with symmetric loadouts. Nealius Posted October 27, 2017 Author Posted October 27, 2017 This was on a brand new install of the 1.5 stable release. Stick was showing centered both in the DCS controls display and in Control Panel. However, when I had the multiple cases of left roll, I did successive flights without restarting DCS between flights. I wonder if that had something to do with it. Tracks are so broken they wouldn't help anyways. Within seconds of replay the plane goes off in random directions and crashes.
Coxy_99 Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Ive done repairs clear controls xsis commands etc ill find some tracks

Tracks are so broken they wouldn't help anyways. Within seconds of replay the plane goes off in random directions and crashes. Same here, today. Did try out a mission, that I had created in ME and loaded it 2-3 times, before I took off. Expierenced some noticable roll to the left. Never had this before. Weapons load was symetrical. I will do some test tomorrow and will check, if I have this roll tendency when just loading the mission one time, or only when loading multiple times, without restart. Nealius Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 So far I have not had a recurrence, but since then I have always restarted DCS before making another flight.
Canadus Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Weapons load was symetrical. Have tried my mission today again; Loadout was assymetrical. RB04 on the left, plus a Chare/Flash Dispenser on the Right. So that should explain the roll tendecy. Ryzen 5800XD - 32GB RAM - Sapphire RX 7900 XTX - VKB Stuff + MFG Crosswind Pedals Homebase: Southwest Germany
