Okay, it's finally here. :yay:

Doesn't include comms procedures (calls to ATC) and setting up comms radios.

Made up of learning several different start-up routines (cos I couldn't find any two that were the same, including the ones provided with the module and the ones provided by Larry on YouTube - though they may be a bit older) and not including a couple of things that were considered OTT or just not possible at the moment.

Please do report any glaring omissions - I think I got everything, but Google sites can be a real pain when you are trying to fit many pictures onto a single page, so something may have stuck itself where I didn't want it, but it did look okay to me - allbeit after hours of glotzing at the damn things! :geek:

Here ya go:

edit: I already spotted a picture that got itself out of turn (JPTL ON) but it's nothing major, so it can stay for now, rather than risk screwing everything up.

EDIT: See post #9 for download zip.

Nice job, thanks!

Will you be doing a coms guide? (Could do with a hand with them as I completely failed at calling the tanker earlier, LOL)

You're welcome, guys - and yes, I hope to cover everything, eventually.

I actually make these things things for my own use, but I know there are plenty of people who would like to use them, too, so I upload them.

Yes - I'll arrange that in a minute.

Ratcatcher - I'm a bit mystified why you would have issues with calling the tanker for AAR ops. For EA simple comms is enabled, which means all you have to do is bring up the comms menu and choose him from the menu.

As long as you have the radios switched on and the volume turned up, there should not be an issue.

This video confirms that - he explains at around 1:50 that this is the case.

I don't know if range is modelled in simple comms - but I suppose you might not have been close enough? Otherwise, just switch to the correct frequency and you should be good to go.

Griphos - OK - guide is attached - it's 8.45MB in size ;)

Wonder no more! It was me being a (to use a technical term...) biff! I hadn't clicked on easy coms in the menu (even though I was sure I had!).

Thanks for the link though, that was useful for trying to set up my own tanker mission. Though I really must be a biff as having set up one exactly along the lines of the video, my coms menu isn't showing the tanker, just ATC. If I go back to my first mission the tanker's callsign is back???

...biff

Now there's a term I've not heard in a long time! Showing your age?

I don't lnow what to suggest with the tanker mission - I haven't done one myself as yet, been far too busy with this guide and the mission I'm doing.

Is your tanker actually spawning would be the very first thing I would check. Oh - and you did assign a frequency for it in the ME?
