Right. VKB only manufactures Gunfighter Mk.II's anymore, with the 3-pin Rev.B connectors.

Thanks for your answer, rrohde!

I´m just a bit worried, if something is wrong with the stick (not very likely, I know;)) and I have to return it to China.

I heared the buttons have a really short travel and my biggest concern is it will feel cheap like every other 0815 stick with microswitches.

You mean the buttons for the MCG/MCG PRO? If so, they are all made with OMRON and ALPS OEM components, which are top-notch.

Nothing wrong with that but buttons with short travel feel cheap for me. Im used to 3-5mm travel because all of my gamepads, joysticks, controller etc have that travel and my 3 joysticks with 0,5-1mm travel died after a year. I have to mean it to press the button. Thats what i want to say.

edit:

wait, i have the Gladiator II Pro, does it have the same buttons like the MCG? sadly i really dont like the feel of them. The travel betwen released, travel to activation and fully pressed is to short for my taste. it takes more effort to rapidly press it beecause i have to compleatly release the button befor i can press it again. with long travel i can keep it partially pushed.

edit nr2: I should have mentioned i have only the Glad. II Pro base and instead of the KG12 i got the TM-adapter. So i only know how the Buttons on the base feel.

I wanted the MCG mainly for the av8b and thats why i got the Glad. Pro II in the first place but im actually quiet happy with the warthog on the Glad. Pro II. No im not from germany but my squad mate is from germany Nd he ordered his from ali express a week before i did and he got it even faster than me few days after he placed his order plus he didnt pay any import fees , he used dhl as i also did .

Do you know how are buttons in CH joysticks? MCG will be very similar, same OMROM switches, and this switches have short travel before click.

From a MCG PRO review posted in Reddit:

Single Push Buttons: There are 4 single-push buttons on the joystick, 3 on the face and one where your ring finger will be after grabbing the joystick. They are tactile push buttons, similar to the ones on a smartphone's power and volume buttons. There's very little travel when pressing them down, with a very distinct click and activation point. I personally like the feel of this, but if you're used to the Warthog's dampened, somewhat mushy, strong resistance buttons, you may feel otherwise.

If you are expecting buttons to press like in Warthog grip, is not the same, because in Warthog you need compress a spring before button cap reach the switch for click.

MCG Mapping Overlay/Diagram

I am missing having a blank Diagram, like I have with the Warthog, of the Joystick and throttle, with spaces to write the action each movement of the buttons is mapped to for my various aircraft. Anybody know if a drawing exists of the MCG?

Is the VKBDevCfg-C v83.9.6 version triggering anyone elses windows defender? Says it's a trojan:Win32Fuerboos.C!cl

Running Windows 10 with Defender, I've never seen that with any VKB software. Definitely a 'false positive'.

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me. I got my gunfighter pro with mcg pro combo yesterday. I think I have everything setup nicely (With the help of this thread) but I cannot seem to get the master mode stick's axis mode to work to trim the A-10C.

It does not seem there is a trim axis in dcs for the A-10C. Is there a way to make a virtual axis, that gets its values from stick position, but that those values are offset by the master mode axis, to effectively "trim" via input from the stick, as opposed to using the actual in game trim? (Or is that sacrilege? Hehe)

Thanks!

I got that as well. And there are reports in VKB forum. Try scan it with defender. Definitely false positive but annoying.

This "cheater" trim is possible - people used to do in TARGET/Manager creating an adjustable trim for controls surface that don't have adjustable (by pilot) trim tabs, e.g. Bf 109 aileron.

Previously I linked an example, a virtual trim axis with joystick Y axis - you press a button move stick, release the button and plane keep this attitude.

But is "complicated" do set in DevCfg, I suggest you as in VKB forum, there guys can explain how.

Should we expect the MCG Pro in the EU store to arrive with the twist function?

How about we get the 'new store' and actual ordering / pre-ordering of the MCG Pro stick with the Rev 2 base up before we start confusing them even more! ;)

The EU site is horrific and communications even worse.

Anyone know how to reduce the sensitivity of the controller thumbstick (GATE CONT)? Nevermind, found it... response curves!

Also, anyone figure out how to reduce "jitter"? When I hold the stick to the right (left doesn't do it near as much) it jitters around a bit as you can see in the image, I assume this has something to do with the filter setting? This doesn't impact game performance... just curious as I am still learning the software.

I have been waiting for the MCG Pro and Gunfighter Pro for ages now and the above is exactly why I have just ordered the Virpil option.

I was really looking forward to the extra functions of the MCG like button on flip up of the folder-able trigger and the extra 4 ways but just don't have faith that I will ever get one from the EU store.

I just hope I don't regret my buying decision

I would like to get on gunfighter but i was wondering, is the new version expected to be delivered to the EU shop in the next few months different in anyway than the one on aliexpress posted above. I see there are 2 revisions A, B and now this MCG PRO. I admit i`ve not followed these products untill now and since they are a bit on the expensive side, i don`t want to regret getting the wrong version. Thank you.

I did quite a bit of adjusting with my mini-sticks yesterday also, adding a stronger curve, etc. I didn't end up with any of that, which is interesting. I wonder if it might be fixed with a simple recalibration? The VKBDevCfg software manual has a section on physical axis filtering (starting on page 27.)

Yea, I had calibrated a few times... weird thing is tonight it isn't doing it. Perfectly smooth.
