Shadow KT
Can anyone create an F-5 HD cockpit without mipmaps/ with mipmaps. All I want is to have a clear, readable, HD cockpit texture, no matter what my texture settings are. I tried looking in the lua files before if there was a work around for always having cockpit textures on high, even asked for assistance, but with no success So now I have to use custom textures to have that. Shadow KT
Thank you mustang I had a thread in the wishlist, I really think it should be a different setting in the options to select the quality of cockpit textures 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days

MikeSinn
Hi Mustang, Can you clarify where I would copy these files? I can't figure out the folder structure.
Mustang
Hi Mustang, Can you clarify where I would copy these files? I can't figure out the folder structure. It's simple, you just extract the MIPMAPPED folder from the package to your DCS directory Mods\aircraft\F-5E\Liveries\Cockpit_F-5E and then select the customized cockpit from the SPECIAL page within the DCS options like so Edited February 22, 2018 by Mustang

Shadow KT
You have to do it in your Saved Games folder in a folder called Liveries. C, Users, *Your user*, Saved Games, DCS, create a "Liveries" folder there, Create a "Cockpit_F-5E" folder and drop it there. This way you will have no IC issues and you won't need to put the files back there after every DCS update 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
Fri13
IMHO all DCS modules should come with a few different cockpit liveries. 1) A clean high detail texture like aircraft would come from the factory (or been in service for few months) 2) A weathered high detail texture like aircraft would have been in service since the early days (possibly even decades in service) 3) A VR/low specs compatible where textures are minimized for clarity, yet looking fairly authentic. So people can have a "Cockpit textures Low" and yet be nicely reading the instruments. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K. Stache
Ok, I figured it out, It works, just not in VR. If I launch without VR I can select it. When I launch in VR it doesn't show up in the menu. —————— i7 7820x 4.3ghz Asus tuf x299 mk 2 32gig G.skill 3200mhz ram 500gig ssd OS 2x 1tb ssd raid 0 GeForce GTX 1080 HTC Vive

Buckeye
Bought the F-5E yesterday, didn't have a chance to fly it until this morning...just gave this mod a try. Worked perfectly for me in VR.
