Motion controllers on 2.5. How is it?

i havent had time to check out DCS 2.5.. waiting on the main release build..

 

i hear that there are improvements to VR,

are the motion controllers functional?

maybe even some what descent enough to operate clickable virtual cockpits?

share your thoughts please :)

I have a vive. Nothing works. Pulling the trigger on buttons / switches has no effect, same goes for the hands. Nothing changed since 1.5.x

Can't wait for the vive controllers to be allowed. There are drivers for the Leap Motion to mimic the controllers with your hands. Love to see if full hand interaction with the cockpit can be achieved.

No right click is a bit of an oversight and sort of renders the whole thing redundant if I can only toggle 2-way and 2-way switches one way!

i started to download the 2.5OB

i am excited for this.. touch functionality or at least any cockpit switch manipulation in VR was holding me back from DCS level aircraft..

 

cant wait to try, and wait for more improvements..

 

would be great if you can map the touch controllers in settings!

I echo that this is an AWESOME addition, but if any ED developers see this- the ability to bind the touch control functions and/or have a right mouse click button would be ideal!

I am guessing that a lot of VR users already know this, but I have not seen a posting on it:

In VR you can bind a HOTAS button for the communications menu, but the standard cockpit selection green/blue cross pointer for the mouse is unable to interact with that comms menu when it displays.

However if you double click the middle wheel of the mouse the cursor changes to a white arrow which allows you to click on the comms menu.

Double clicking the mouse middle wheel brings back the normal cockpit selection cursor

Yes, left mouse click only. Squeeze the grip button to straighten out index finger. Point it at a switch or button and press the trigger button.
