Su-30MKK - first "K" is for "commercial/export", while second "K" is for "Китай"(China).

Su-27SK was prepared just for China. This is the most stripped-down (castrated) version of this fighter.

- In DCS we need to do +/-15 steps

- In DCS on HUD numbers 0-15 UP and 0 to -9 are JUST HIDEN (nothing improved to simulate real one) and -10 to -15 VISIBLE (sluggish and frivolous)

- In DCS on HUD repeater all +/-15 numbers are VISIBLE. (So, what to say about this?)

Su-27SK was prepared just for China. This is the most stripped-down (castrated) version of this fighter.

 

The "K" suffix is a general export designation - the Su-27SK has also been exported to Vietnam, Ethiopia and Indonesia.

it is a bug. In the picture below you can see the discrete steps you should be able to choose.

Vat in the Su-27 there are FOR SURE steps for vertical altitude difference and ALSO a estimated distance to target wheel on the throttle. Check again the pics from the manual.

 

 

Falcon this is a better aproximation to the real Su-27SK HUD. No vertical radar position numbers, and estimated range to target at the bottom but still missing many symbols from the real HUD like afterbuner, type fo ground control, climb or descend orders, etc. Why they have changed the symbols on the right side or why there are +-10 and over and not below that number i dont know if this is a bug or intentional

I've checked that indeed... the numbers you see in video for example are automatic feed of GCI. So for example.. GCI sets you the center of the zone (indicated by the distance number) and altitude information is above your altitude to set dH properly.

The throttle is, as you have pointed yourself, manual distance after lock or when the radar is off to set the manual intercept.

I hope that we someday will get proper functioning GCI. Some research has been done on the Lazur system:

Same issue here. They can keep the HUD without numbers for realism sake, but at least we should have the Δh rotary moving accordingly.
