I had a "Remove before flight" tag on my Cyborg 3D Digital but it looks rediculous on my X52 and I removed it.

I don't think TV's are better simply because of much lower resolution then proper PC monitor. Most LCD TV's resolution is of 15" LCD (even lower in Vertical) so reading dials and HUD is not really possible (unless you zoom in). I know becuase I tried this and used 37" LCD TV and now I have 22" LCD monitor and 100% I can say, I'd go for propper monitor (well unless you just want a massive screen, but even then you could get 30" LCD like Apple but then you will have to have top of the range video card to run the massive resolution) Newer High Definition TV's have better resolution compared to standard definition but I haven't tried one of these so I don't know if their resolution is good enough for reading dials and HUD. Maybe someone that has one can elaborate.

Actually I was running my TV/Monitor at 1024 x 768, but I discovered the other day that I can actually run it at 1280 X 768.. Now at this resolution the screen is just as clear as regular monitor, but of course its size makes it seem closer to R/L...

And the prices are dropping for these with in the last year, so I recommend it..

If I had the money I would go for Apple 30" monitor... that thing is absolute beauty, with masive resolution (2560x1600) and it's not actually THAT expensive (around AUD$2800 now) considering it's an abolute high quality professional display monitor :D I was very tempted to get it. The only downside is you would really need to have SLI or Crossfire to run it with good frame rate.

Why go the extra expense of buying an Apple... The screen isn't made buy them, Its most likely an LG or Samsung...

These are about the only 2 company's that make the screens for the entire industry...

I know that your really stuck on this Apple Kuk...

But you'll get just about the same quality with all of the LCD's available today... What your going to pay for here is the brand name and the packaging....

And thats a fact...

Well tell you what Blaze, the moment I saw this Apple 30" I fell in love  I didn't buy is because it's still very expensive (also because I would have to buy another x1950xtx Master for Crossfire) but in my opinion this screen is just awsome, from every perspective (beside the price :music_whistling: ) It's very narrow, great design, super resolution and image quality. basically it has everything I would want in a monitor (quality, size, image, design) and of course things like this ARE pricey :book:

I'm not really "stuck" with it as in the end I got a Samsung 22" for AUD$555 few months back. So that was about 2/3 of the size, still great resolution, don't need to buy anything else and it's almost 1/6 of the expense.

If I didn't care about the money and was a milionaire... I would get this Apple 30" any time over any LCD TV.

Alright, anyone from Apple reading this post please give me some money for advertising your product :D

Now, I wanna see more setups from people who didn't post theirs so far...

I am gonna build a new rig for BS.

I got the Case and PS allready (Thermaltake Kandolf & 700W PS)

I am going to mod the case and I hope to make a collective like the one

URZE made in the Tech Section. (depends on availability in Thailand)

I don't think I am going to get TrackIR ? don't think I'll need it if I get a

second LCD screen and use LO Virtual Panel by Maxim Lysak (Mnemonic).

Having TrackIR for some 4 years now I can definitely say that it is on ene of the most desireable equipment you could have for flight simulations. In my opinion it is as important as a HOTAS and more important then having rudder peddals :D
