LHD Tarawa Radio FUPAR after update 2.51

Prior to the new update the Av8B was able to communicate with any aircraft carrier. Now that is not possible since this last update. :(

We can't set the frequencies for most of the carriers.

First thing first. Lol thanks for pointing that out.

 

Second. Well I know the default frequency before the update was 127.500 correct. Where would I setup a frequencies for the boats in the mission editor. I would like to setup different frequencies for each carrier. If that is possible, so I’m not sure on how you could utilize a preset for carrier ops.

I've been trying been trying to create a new carrier mission for the A/V-8B in the Persian Gulf map.

After several try's I cant get the aircraft to launch from the Tarawa deck.. I've checked the box that allows the AC to launch from the deck but its not appearing...

This most likely a dumb mistake on my part..

You might have the same problem as me. I can no longer get the Harrier or Huey to do ramp starts from any decked vessels in the mission editor. I end up either spawning inside the ship or just not spawning at all. I posted about this on the main 2.5 forum and was told it had been reported to the team.

Ah, yeah, it's under 'known issues' at the bottom of the changelog for today's update. Apparently they didn't realise it also affected the helicopters and frigates, not just the carriers.

 

I guess if you want to do ramp starts on carriers until, presumably, the Hornet/next update arrives next week with a fix then you'll need to roll back to the release version.
