Tomcatter87 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Hello Fellas, before I did the update from 1.5.8 to 2.5, I forgot to deactivate the desert skins from Starway's desert mod in JSGME. Now, after the update, many of the standard infantry and vehicle skins are the yellow desert skins - which doesn't look too good in the caucasus map. Is there a way to bring back the old, green standard textures without having to roll back that giant update to version 2.5? JSGME must have those skins saved somewhere, but I can't find them. Emmy Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Perhaps running a "Repair" would do the trick? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.476vfightergroup.com/content.php High Quality Aviation Photography For Personal Enjoyment And Editorial Use. www.crosswindimages.com
Tomcatter87 Posted May 2, 2018 Author Posted May 2, 2018 Perhaps running a "Repair" would do the trick? That's a good idea, thanks. I'm gonna give it a try - and hopefully I won't forget to deactivate my other mods before that. I'll let you know if it worked. Tomcatter87 Posted May 3, 2018 Author Posted May 3, 2018 I ran a repair yesterday - and it didnt work. I suppose the reason is that the files containing the skins are there, so the repair function doesnt replace them. Next thing I'll try is to find all the desert skin files and delete them - that way, at least I hope so, the "repair" function might replace them with the original files. Art-J Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 I guess they must be in form of additional folders with custom files then, rather than modded zips, that replaced stock content. Otherwise the repair command would certainly work. Run a cleanup command then. Mind you, that will remove every non-stock content from the main game folder. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Rudel_chw Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 ... and hopefully I won't forget to deactivate my other mods before that. I'll let you know if it worked. No need to deactivate/reactivate your modules, as the registration data is stored on Windows registry ... you can do almost anything with your dcs folder and the activations will not be lost. Only if you reinstall windows or make major hardware changes, will a deactivation/reactivation be needed. crazyeddie Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Do it the easy way, remove any mods you have installed for now, delete the Liveries folder (its in the Bazar Folder), run Repair and the Liveries folder will be restored to its original form. Reinstall your Mods.
