An hour and a half perhaps, including the patch. So pretty good IMO.

The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

Mine took around 3-4 hours.

In total I've downloaded 42Gbs

Torrented a 7Gb update first, then it started Downloading some kind of "6Gb" update, which actually went way past that and reached 12Gbs.

I got the message, that it is up to date and I was like, nice awesome, I got the map.

I run DCS and I see a message in the module manager,"ready to download DCS: The Persian Gulf"....

Right, lets go again... "Torentting" a 13Gb update, surely that was it, but no after it was done, it started "Downloading" a final 10Gb download

The torrenting updates were fine, but those "downloading sections" never got past 1MB/s and that was probably in 15% of the time

In total 42GBs having to move and delete stuff so I can fit those updates in

Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days

I've had scenarios where the download reached full competition, just to start again and again, emptying my dataplan. Turned out I did have enough space for download, but not for unpacking and install! For some reason the installer is (/was) unable to detect that little problem and never hinted anything about it, just restarted. Might have been something similar for you.

Took me all night with the hotel I’m staying at WiFi and the rest of the day for the map, it was unpacking when I got home from work but that only took another 20mins and I was on. I have to say, I’m using my older gamer laptop with first gen i7 and a 780m video card with 16gb ram and it runs really good, not even on my ssd. I have both textures and water set to high and everything else is off or low. Distance set to far too lol and it’s super smooth, I’m pretty impressed. Anyway I’m flying home this weekend to see it on my 1080 rig in VR. Can’t wait, home run ED, this week has felt like Xmas for a lot of us, all ur hard work is appreciated. Thanks for being awesome!!!
