sixgun Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I cannot even run 1.5 now with the recent updates. DCS has ran off and left us with the lower end computers. Most of us cannot afford to upgrade or buy a new computer. They should at least allow you to install a earlier version of 1.5 before the Persian Gulf and F/A-18. I ran 2.5 open beta until the recent changes. Now my i7-2600CPU@3.40GHz 7.9 ram will not run anything. I have spent hours upon hours trying everything to no avail. I love DCS and adore all the good stuff they are doing. I have been with them since Lock-On. I'm getting a new computer next week and eagerly await to run F/A-18 and the Gulf. My little nephew is crazy about DCS. I would give him my current computer if the earlier DCS World would run. DCS should not leave the low end computers in the dust of progress for now. At least a roll back to 1.5 before those last updates.
Mars Exulte Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Yep, can already do that. As for leaving older computers... realistically that sort of thing happens as games get more demanding each year. This is no different. In this case at least, older versions will be floating around for a while. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
sixgun Posted June 1, 2018 Author Posted June 1, 2018 Thanks, tried the rollback, rolled back video driver as well. Still crashing when aircraft is loading. Maybe all those prior crashes messed up the operating system.

Rudel_chw Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 My little nephew is crazy about DCS. I would give him my current computer if the earlier DCS World would run. You dont tell what GPU you have currently, but I would bet mine that most of your performance troubles are because of low RAM rather than CPU or GPU. It depends of how many ram slots you have free, but an increase in RAM to 16 GB isnt too expensive, and DDR3 memory can be purchased second hand to lower the cost ... I remember when I went from 8 to 16 GB and the difference was astounding :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Nirvi Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 So what we’re saying is I can uninstall 2.5, download 1.5, install World 1.5 but every module needs to be install as if it’s a new module?? Any command prompt editing that needs to be done or not? Cos I hate dos prompts! Yes all modules have to be installed again. Be aware that you can't install modules that were released after 1.5. So no Hornet, Tomcat or Terrains will be available in 1.5. Serious uglies Discord 4YA - Project Overlord WW2 Server My DCS Videos

So no Hornet, Tomcat or Terrains will be available in 1.5. Oh Yes it worked! All modules reinstalled and now I'm trying out each module to see if every one works. My last module I bought was the Spitfire, I do hope it'll work cos it said that World 2.5 was needed. Since I haven't tried it,I dunno what to expect. HEre goes... DCS on OSX.
