I have just purchased LotAtc with a view to using it on the Cold War server, didn't realise it doesn't work as yet! I will try and connect later this evening but from what I read above might not happen!? Has anyone managed to connect LotAtc to the cold war server..?

 

PS Have purchased the Gazelle, looking forward to using it on the two towns I think that's a great mission btw, well done!

Not sure how to include that to the bloody DCS dedicated servers. As you might know I had to start running the server through that! I'll ask around.

is there a reason why there are no helicopter in some missions ? I wanted to fly heli today on your server but bad luck at the current mission. Would it hurt to add helicopters to all missions ? Cheers

It just happens that I have some scenarios where a helicopter simply doesn't fit in. Like in operation Supervision, where the whole battle and even striking is taking place over the mountains between Beslan (Red) and Tbilisi (Blue). Not to forget the low clouds layer in that mission too. Hardly a good place for helicopters operations. Could I do it nonetheless? Sure. Would I? Sure not. Not if it makes no sense.

I'm not into having everything in one place in every mission. I understand your criticism though, buddy, but I'd rather not mix it up.

Operation: The Desert Has Eyes

 

Situation:

Red Bases: Bandar Abbas Intl, Havadarya, Qeshm Island and FARP Shpora.
Blue Bases: Bandar Lengeh, Kish International Airport, Lar Airbase and FARP Dallas.

In this mission both coalitions are trying to blind the other by taking out EWR stations. Each coalition holds 4 EWR stations at which a small number of AA's is available. Deploying EWR's by either Mi-8's or UH-1's is not enabled. Therefore, protecting friendly EWR's while taking out the enemy's gives the triumphing coalition the advantage of having eyes across the region.

The first coalition to destroy the enemy's 4 EWR stations wins the day!
Mi-8's and UH-1's can and should deploy AA's to fortify the garrisons at the EWR locations and elsewhere.

NOTE:
Teamwork is the key! Use SRS and get on comms.

 

 

RED Objectives:

*** Destroy all units and buildings you find at any of the 4 x EWR stations ***

MiG's, F1's and L-39's:

- Provide CAP around friendly EWR stations (marked on the F10 map).
- Provide escort for Su-25's on their way to strike enemy EWR's.
- Feel free to perform strike missions yourself.
- Watch out for AA's at the enemy's EWR stations.

Mi-8's -> Picking up crates:
Bring up your radio menu, select F10 for CTLD and then whatever type of crates you want to pick up.

*** You can only pick up one crate at a time ***

For picking up a crate, maintain hover over it for 5 seconds while keeping an altitude of at least 7.5 meters and a maximum altitude of 15 meters.

To unpack a crate, make sure you're at least 3 km away from the FARP you started at.

Combined Arms:

The 2 cmdr slots are for players controlling ground units while being on SRS with each other and other players to coordinate their attacks.
You MUST be on SRS as a cmdr operator!
You can use the JTAC slot to drive a ground unit. However, that requires you being on comms with cmdr operators to avoid confusion and/or causing problems to their attacks.

EWR / GCI: 124 MHz - Channel 0 for MiG-21's and L-39's. Channel 2 for MiG-19's. Mi-24's R-863 - Channel 0. TRAP Channel 1 for F1's

ATC: 126 MHz - Channel 5 for MiG-21's and MiG-19's. Channel 1 for L-39's.

FARP Shpora: 127.5 MHz - Mi-24's R-863 - Channel 18
Shpora NDB: 433 kHz

Elbrus and other missions as well, yes. Keeping only 7 missions. Once players get bored of the 7, I'll set up another missions' rotation, and so on. With a total of 18 missions you can't fly your favourite ones as often as you'd like, hence the change.

Elbrus was never set to 8 hours. 6 "only". Currently it's 4 hours and out of the rotation.

Great video, like the new desert mission! My LotAtc is having trouble connecting to the server last couple of days, anyone else having issues? Also, srs has lost the Tx effect on the R/T? Might have been something to do with the latest beta update to DCS.

We had no issues with SRS yesterday.
