Alpenwolf Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 The server's back online! All should be fixed now. We'll continue with the Caucasus mission, When The mountains Cry, but from scratch. All lives have been restored. Also, once a new mission goes online all lives are restored and choosing a side is enabled. Say, you type -red and a few moments/hours later one side wins the mission and the server rotates, everything goes back to "zero"; lives and choosing a side. 2 HACA DYCA Discord Cold War 1947 - 1991 You can help me with keeping up the server via PayPal donations: hokumyounis@yahoo.com

Yes I get the limited to K, but I meant the Actual longbow Radair/Airdome. Its an inventory item that players can have the Aircrew add. So they dont have Longbow missiles, but it still gives them access to the Radar to find targets, and slew the TADS to those radar detected items. Just wasn't sure if it made sense to also remove those since the Army did not get that attachment until 1997, and they do give a massive situational awareness advantage to the Apaches, even if they dont have the Longbow missiles. 1

Alpenwolf Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 (edited) CTLD: Helicopters with access to CTLD: Mi-8, Mi-24, Ch-47, UH-1 and SA342 * Apart from the SA342 the above mentioned helicopters can pick up crates. Available Squads: - Assault Squad 17: 1 x MANPAD, a few riflemen, RGP's and MG's. In this case the total 17 troopers. - Scout Squad: 1 x rifleman and 1 x RPG - Mortar Squad: 4 x riflemen and 4 x mortars - JTAC Squad: 4 x riflemen and 1 x JTAC * The Scout Squad is basically there to enable the SA342 to deploy something. Ans surely it's enough to capture a neutral area or base. Crates: In order to pick up a crate, you'll need to hover above it for 5 seconds while maintaining an altitude between 7.5 and 15 m. Alpenwolf Posted June 13, 2024 Author Posted June 13, 2024 The bug has been fixed! It was a conflict of scripts. Basically, one script was blocking the main script from working which is why it was not allowing players to choose slots - Fixed. The server will go back online between 1400 and 1500 zulu. We kick it off with Search & Destroy (PG) starting from scratch. Reminder: Choosing sides is enabled every 6 hours, and NOT 24 hours like it used to be. Thanks to @REAPER 53 | Yink for sorting things out 2 1 HACA DYCA Discord Cold War 1947 - 1991 You can help me with keeping up the server via PayPal donations: hokumyounis@yahoo.com

Ok, understandable , thanks for your quick reply! As far as I’m aware it increases air to ground weapons damage radius to somewhat more realistic level to offset DCS‘ simplistic ground unit damage modelling. Have a nice weekend! It's a script that makes a secondary explosion happen after the initial munition has gone off. It makes weapons more effective but there is an argument to be made that it makes things too easy. The only particular DCS-ism about it is that when the secondary explosion goes off, via the script, then the player does not get credit for the kill. This may not be a problem for you because there aren't stats here but then again the skill level of this server is generally a bit higher so it may not even be necessary. Everything is configurable. If you are curious, I am happy to send you what we have on ECW, you can tweak things down if you want. It does not require any real scripting, its just changing values and we have already set ours up so it can be plug to play if you like the values that we use. If you do end up using it, you may have to change out some of your missions slightly so things are not so close or you make the value smaller so the bomb radius is not so over done. I personally change my opinion on it every other day. Sometimes I think its great, sometimes I think it is a bit too much. Edited June 17, 2024 by Enigma89 1

Apok already sent me the script and I played with it a bit. It's nice, but the bottom line is it feels like an overkill. I don't think I will use it. 2 HACA DYCA Discord Cold War 1947 - 1991 You can help me with keeping up the server via PayPal donations: hokumyounis@yahoo.com
