So sometimes when running the PG map or even caucuses I'm greeted with a "No GPS Position" when I boot up the G430*

(popup version)

Is there a remedy for this or something to do in the Mission Editor?

The waypoints and flight plan load, however it says No GPS Position on all of the NAV pages.

I normally only see this shortly after getting in a plane and starting up. And it only lasts a few minutes for me.

Sorry to resurrect this one, But I get "No GPS Position" on Gazelle post 1994

What is the mission's date and nationality of your Gazelle ?

You may need to use "Options>Gameplay --> Unrestricted SATNAV = ✅" if flying as a non-NATO country.

Testing 27th March 1994 gave "NO GPS POSITION" as expected for DCS (i.e. prior to 28th March 1994)

Testing 29th March 1994 using a French Gazelle SA-342L at  Bassel Al-Assad, everything was as expected.

Genius. It was the unrestricted SATNAV tick box. Faction is "Blue Coalition" 21/12/21

Ha it is a bad habit picked up from work to use "genius" in stead of "thank you". I also speak a dialect made up of mostly acronyms to the horror of my wife and friends.

Thanks for your feedback, @COMDZERO.

Are the USA part of Blue Coalition in that mission? I think GPS (without unrestricted satnav checked) only works for the coalition that has the USA with them (and is set after 1994).

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

No it is literally just blue coalition with Georgia as a partner. Considering the US controls the GPS constellation, it makes sense to have nothing without the USA in the coalition. Checks out once I applied some logic from the real world.
