Habu_69 Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Does DCS use files stored in Saved Games\Open Beta\CoreMods?
nachomaga Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Interesting question, because I use coremods for Liveries and Lod distance. Perhaps it can be done in Saved Games so I don't need to do each time there is an update. I'll be listening...
joey45 Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Yes. It's best used for mods like community made ships and vehicles and liveries for aircraft. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. "Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.." https://ko-fi.com/joey45
fitness88 Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 As DCS looks first to see what you have in saved games when loading and doesn't over write them when updates come out, I've tried adding different mod folders instead of using programs like JSGME. Some folders are loaded some overlooked, not sure of the protocols.

Glad to know CoreMods does get loaded.

RightStuff Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Here is a nice and detailed description which mod in „c:\users\...“ should go where: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190778 I have to admit: My success using this description with my used mods was only rarely successful. Maybe we should set up a list which mod can successfully be implemented in „c:\users\...“ using this way so that not so many of us end up headbanging on their desk: „... but it should go this way...“ ;)
