FZG_Immel Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I've heard of a few issue with the yesterday update ? Should I do it ? do the fixes beat the new bugs ? should I do it or wait for next ? losing the deck crew mod bothers me, but its not the end of the world. what about the rest ? danny875 Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 There’s an issue that only some of us are experiencing in that we can not use PG or NTTR maps at all. It’s been reported and is being looked at so I would say either take the gamble or wait.
raelias Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I was hoping for a hotfix today but looks like nope Win10 64, MSI Krait Gaming Z370, I7 8700K, Geforce 1080Ti FTW3 ,32 GB Ram, Samsung 980 EVO SSD Modules: Combind Arms, A-10C, F-86F, F/A-18, F-16, Flaming Cliffs, KA-50, L-39, P-51, UH-1, Christen Eagle II, Persian Gulf
sobe Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I have had only a black screen after updating. After I reinstalled dCS openbeta, and left out the F18 module, the game loads ok. If I add the F18 module, I get a black screen. So watch out. Thank you. shame, i really wanted to see these new vape I have the CTD with the Persian Gulf and NTTR maps but the Caucasus map works fine for me so far. bradleyjs Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Yes, I too have the PG and NTTR map issue. No matter what I’ve tried, short of a full re-install [want to avoid that!], several Clean, Repair, remove, then recover [from a pre-backup copy] the fox and metashaders2. I’m stumped... Silversmith Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Odd, I have had no problems whatsoever with the latest update, and none in VR either. Some nice fixes in it (e.g. AV8b AI now takes off properly rather than trying to vertical take off when too heavy and getting stuck on the runway/deck). Overall appears solid as a rock and the changelog listed updates work fine as described. Maybe I'm just lucky!!.
jdkirk904 Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 I have not flown for almost a year, because each one of my aircraft is affected every time there is an update. When they can put out an update without messing everything else up, then I will go back to flying. Kirk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Alphamale Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Makes you wonder if all the people having problems are due to RAM issues if your 32GB monster is fine? I have only half of that RAM amount and it's really outdated RAM (DDR3 I think) and everything works fine
FZG_Immel Posted August 31, 2018 Author Posted August 31, 2018 did they make a hotfix today ? issues fixed ? Manhorne Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) I decided to give the update a chance and just ran it . The problems I have found so far is that the game crashes in the Mission editor when I start to zoom in on the carrier. I am able to load missions and play but I noticed that the catapult steam is screwed up and coming out of the flight deck on both sides at a 45 degree angle....That is what I have discovered so far. Will play some more and see what else goes wrong... After Further observations it is not the steam from the Cats that shooting through the deck. It is the ships bow wake. I looked and all the ships are doing it. Edited August 31, 2018 by Manhorne
Bingo123 Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Since the update - I am getting jitters when looking from side to side in the cockpit and also the ground jitters when moving. When exiting DCS it hangs sometimes as well. I am just waiting for the next update to hopefully fix. Everything was working perfect for me before the update - I don't recommend it.
