Edit: hmm, well i did edit the alpha channel like you said, but its still visable in game when i type in 9. Is the nomera file the only one that contains the aircraft number for the Russian aircraft?

 

You'll need to adjust a few other files, just download =FV=MAD's mod and adjust the appropriate tga files; here's a pic of all the normera files i could find that have aircraft numbers:

I guess along with the normera.tga file you'd also need to adjust normera-red.tga and possibly the normera-red-2.tga. I'm not sure though but wouldn't the Zero still be visible when selecting an aircraft number of just 9?

 

 

;oops i just noticed in the pic i painted over the US markings a little :doh: . Should have used just the paint brush instead of the Marquee tool as well.. guess I'm just too lazy :v:

yes it would if you just typed in 9. That's why i usually type in 99 to get rid of all the numbers. And thanks for the tip, I'll try i out tonight.

 

@Roi Danton, pretty cool but I don't want to remove all the stars and number. I want to choose whether or not i want the numbers there. So that's why i picked the whole "remove the #9 idea." Thanks for the link though.

Alright I've downloaded all the =FV=MAD signs and modded one by one and removed all the #9 from the alpha channel of the nomera, NOMERA-BLACK, NOMERA-RED, NOMERA-RED-2, NOMERA-YELLOW files but the #9 is still visable on the MiG-29 and the Su-25T. Am I missing a file to mod?

MiG-29 and Su-25T use larger textures for the numbers

 

There are 9 files in WorldTexturesTGA.cdds

RUS-CODE-NUMBERS-*.TGA

 

And there are 3 more in WorldTexturesTGA2.cdds

RUS-CODE-NUMBERS-*.TGA

 

I'm not sure which is which though.

damn, those files are not easy to access. I would have to extract all the files, the edit, then put them back together. Seems a little troublesome just to make a #9 transparent. Ah well, thanks for the suggestion tekateka

I'm trying to get rid of the #9 for the MiG-29. Its a red font, the picture is above tekateka's post

 

I uploaded moded textures here. I already removed #9 portions of these textures. Put ones you need into \Bazar\TempTextures\ folder. I think the one in your screenshot is "RUS-CODE-NUMBERS-VER1-R-W-W.TGA".

oh cool, that's simple enough. So if i want to remove the #9 for every skin both Mig-29 and Su-25T, i just drag everything in right?
