Found these images on Youtube anyone care to interpret some of the symbology ?

I figure that the Circle and small dot is similar to ASE type indication for steering ?

What is the large rectangle ?

What do the 532 and 231 to the right of the HUD mean ?

What does YTP and KOHTP mean ?

what does the 2 6000 on the bottom Left corner mean ?

I know the video your are talking about. the video show the prototipe of Mig-29SMT and Mig-29K in a very early stage and the cockpit is a simulator so there you can see unfinished or not serie production features. As you can see the SMT final version is far different so is not clear this video show a Mig-29S.

Very interesting video!

IvanK, you will probably have more luck posting in the russian FC3/MIG29 forums.

But my guesswork is that the circle /small dot is a steering indication. Put a circle in a circle, like for the cannons or for landing Su-33 on the a carrier.

KOHTP in Google Translate is translated as COUNTER.

A lot of FC3 MiG29 symbology is not accurate or function like the real thing, like the helmet mounted sight. There is also a boresight HUD mode with a lage circle that is often shown in videos when fireing R-73 (does not look like any of the modes on current FC3 MiG29).

Large rectangle is the limit zone of the antenna gimbal where you need to keep rhombus/small circle for datalink to work (it's same for r27r)

Numbers on the right are Vc in m/s

YTP is simulation mode

KOHTP is bit test mode and those large numbers on the left are related to this.
