kam Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 So, this happened last night - it literally just fell apart whilst on a very gentle Mi-8 flight. The SN# is 00197 so I've had some use out of it. From what I've read it's hard to epoxy back together due to the metal used, but I'm going to try it anyway. What are the options for replacing just the grip? Is the VIRPIL VPC MongoosT-50CM series the only option? VKB grips are only for the VKB base? I can't see where to buy just the grip from Thrustmaster, but given the poor quality of this part I don't really want to do this. Thanks. Seb71 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 You could replace just the broken stem, not the whole grip. On the Warthog base you can use the MongoosT-50 grip from VirPil (VPC), but not the Delta grip. VKB is supposed to make a MCG version for the Warthog base.

I agree .. contact Thrustmaster at https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/contact-en/ I've used their service several times and its probably much cheaper than replacing the whole stick. FragBum Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Are you sure that is metal?? Besides just see if you can replace the part. So how many hours did you get from that? :D Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. rel4y Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Why dont you have a look at Debolestis Shapeways shop. He sells replacement parts for exactly this case. Many people have bought these replacement parts and they work. I am using one as well (I made it myself). Really is an easy fix. So how many hours did you get from that? :D Had it for 8.5 years, it's hard to guess how many hours! :joystick: Deboletis Shapeways replacement - with options of material, colors, offset, tilt... is superior to Tm part - until now no report of broke like original. Will try this, thanks! It looked expensive at £50, but then I see that part was metal, £12 for plastic looks good.
