I'm waiting for that blissful message from HB. I hope so. American aircraft is already enough.

Same

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

+5000 for GR4 although still in service in Saudi.

Cannot believe such a beast was only sold to Saudi outside of the partners, would have thought countries would have been queuing up for some twin engined, multi-role swing wing goodness.

Best plane every!!

But I helped build them so biased much....

I guess the price tag had a lot to do with it....

Yeah, the team Sim Skunk Works P3D stuff looks really good and in-depth for P3D stuff.

Quite a talented team.

Pity they are not developing for DCS...

-------

All the people keep asking for capabilities to be modelled.... I want the limitations to be modelled.... limitations make for realistic simulation.

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a bit you realize the pig likes it.

+1. After seeing the F-14 and because of how iconic Tornado is, the only one team maybe besides ED/Belsimtek that I would love to see developing it is Heatblur,

F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, Bf 109 4-K, UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf... and not enough time to fully enjoy it all

I wonder how much of it is a rights issue. Panavia was a limited time consortium between multiple aircraft companies, so there may be some question as to who owns the IP rights. Is it Panavia? Did the rights revert back to all of the subsidiary companies? Does the fact that these are different companies in different countries affect the legalities (although you would think that they'd all be operating under the same IP laws due to the EU)?

Hopefully that's not going to be a problem, because otherwise the Tornado would be a perfect fit for DCS, as it's old enough to be close to exiting service, but recent enough to offer some complex systems.

This reminds me of a similar situation that has happen with car racing sims. For the longest time EA games had exclusive rights to feature Porsche cars in their games. So when Gran Tourism wanted to include Porsche because they are all about featuring all of the best sport cars ever made in their game they turned to RUF to license Porsches built by RUF.
